L´AURORA — Restaurant in Santanyí

This is a very easy review……just go and try it . We happened to be in the area and drove past the restaurant. You can only see the name really from the road, but investigated further and booked. It’s absolutely stunning inside, like a tardis and beautifully done. Calm, welcoming soft muted colours, unobtrusive lighting and music just loud enough to hear but not annoy. There is the option for sitting inside or out, both equally attractive. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and most importantly the food was excellent. Delicious tasty and fresh . Also the dishes being carried past us to other tables looked great too. On this occasion we chose the beetroot carpaccio with goats cheese, and the mixed antipasti, both excellent, followed by the house special lasagne and special pasta dish, with ham and mushroom. Portions were good , so on this occasion we declined dessert , but we will definitely be returning over the next 10 days or so to try other items from the menu. Ich und mein Partner hatten uns gestern dazu entschlossen, das unscheinbare Restaurant zu besuchen. Da wir auf der Insel leben und unsere Hauptroute durch und an dem Restaurant vorbei führen dachten wir einfach mal, wir probieren es aus.

Hier ist für mich die Erklärung warum es nur 3 Sterne gab… Der erste Punkt was sehr dreist ist, bei Anruf der Reservierung wurde ich sofort darauf hingewiesen es geht nur Bar, Paypal oder Bizum Zahlung, als wir im Restaurant saßen dachten wir oke wieso werden wir 15 Minuten vorher hingewiesen keine Karten Zahlung vorzunehmen wenn es beim Nachbartisch funktioniert hat. Es wurde auch nicht erklärt wieso … habe Verständnis wenn die technik mal nicht funktioniert naja dass war schon mal der erste Punkt.

Die Auswahl am Essen wichtigster Punkt auch die Weinauswahl + Preise. Schade dass es die nicht extra gibt was man bewerten kann … da würde ich nur 2 Sterne geben.

Die Weinauswahl & Preise.

Die Weinauswahl ist nicht wirklich spektakulär es handelt sich eher um billig Weine die im VK im Shop 10 € kosten …. Da ist selbst aus der Branche komme kenne ich mich sehr gut mit weinen aus … und dass ist einfach sehr schlimm… Bitte arbeitet daran. Ich habe mich schwer getan mir einen Wein zu finden, da die Auswahl nicht toll war. Für den günstigen Wein zahlt man 7,90 fürs Glas bis 10,50 was sehr unverschämt ist. Es sind keine Weine die diese Preise rechtfertigen. Flaschen weine das selbe. Preis pro Flasche günstiger #LOU ohne Korken sogar … 30€ pro Flasche … Ca dei Frati Wein 45€ die Flasche … Mallorquinische Z.B Castell Miquel Stairway to Heaven 38 oder knapp 40€ …. Sorry aber dass geht gar nicht … Weine die im Verbraucher Handel 10-15€ kosten doppelt oder dreifach aufzuschlagen ….. vorallem für seine die es nicht wert sind…. Dafür nur 1 Stern …

Dass Essen war oke aber nicht faszinierend … wir hatten Vorspeise einen antipasti Teller Brot alioli (diese war nicht lecker) mit Pesto ( war sehr gut)

Grillplatte als Hauptgang war gut … aber das Gemüse … war TK… nicht frisch ohne Geschmack … der Salat mit zwei Gurken Scheiben und einer Tomate Najaa …. Für den Preis von 55€ Nix besonderes. Zum Essen wurde kein Salz & Pfeffer serviert erst nach nachfragen wurde es serviert ….

Der Nachtisch war lecker wir hatten Tiramisu und ein Cappuccino.

Im Großen und Ganzen war ich nicht zufrieden… und würde auch das Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen, allein von der Weinauswahl und Getränken Preisen 0,75L Wasser was auf der Karte 1 L ausgezeichnet war 7,50….. sehr sehr unverschämt…. Softdrinks waren nicht ausgeschrieben Z.B Coca cola etc denke pro Flasche dann auch 5-6 € …..

In total war unsere Rechnung für zwei Personen 134,50€ …. Für dieses Essen nein

Such a beautiful experience!

We celebrated my partner’s birthday here and everything was just perfect. The restaurant has a gorgeous setting with a lovely, stylish atmosphere. The food was excellent!

What really made the evening special was the incredible service. Everyone was so genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. As a wonderful surprise, they even sang for my partner’s birthday – such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made the night truly unforgettable.

Thank you so much to the entire team for making it so special! We’ll definitely be back and can absolutely recommend this...
