Lovely intimate setting with incredible service, although the main dishes left a lot to be desired.
We initially struggled to find the entrance to the restaurant, as we arrived at 19:00 in January and it was all dark so any sign posts certainly weren't visible. The reception/restaurant is located around to the left, into a small courtyard and up some external stairs, where you'll finally see a small sign next to the door to reception.
Inside, the restaurant (in off season, so internal seating only) appears to only seat about 20 people, which gives it a great atmosphere. Most others seemed to be hotel guests, although we weren't staying there.
Both waiters were excellent, particularly the sommelier who is the main reason we can't give the restaurant anything less than five stars. (Unfortunately, I neglected to ask her name but she was, I believe, British but spoke fluent Spanish too.)
The starters of croquets were tasty, particularly the cauliflower one (to our surprise) but the spinach one was a little bland.
We had sea bass and rigatoni for our two mains. The sea bass was very rich, and I certainly wouldn't have been able to eat a whole portion, and the rigatoni was nice, but nothing that made me feel it was anything different to a cheap pasta pesto one could find in a cheaper establishment.
The desserts, particularly the passion fruit creme brûlée, were excellent, and again we have the waiter to thank for her recommendation of the cheese cake.
We come to this area a lot, and will certainly be back to try some other dishes as the restaurant changes the menu constantly in line with what's seasonal and available locally. But if the service remains the same and the dishes are changed slightly, it'll be one we'll be telling all our...

Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of trying out the Full Moon Degustation Menu and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a themed welcome drink, to the creatively inspired desserts, every aspect of the dining experience was tailored around the enchanting full moon theme.
Mirabona is the perfect spot for a cozy dinner date, whether it's winter or summer. Since it was chilly outside, we opted to dine indoors close to the warm fireplace, but we couldn't resist ending the night with a drink on the heated outdoor terrace, soaking in the magical atmosphere under the full moon.
Each dish that came out was a masterpiece of flavour, and the menu seemed to build in excitement with each new course. The experienced sommelier guided us through the perfect wine pairings, adding another layer of sophistication to the meal. We also appreciated the personal touch of the chef, who took the time to visit our table and chat with us about our dining experience, even asking which dish we enjoyed the most—a tough question to answer when everything was so delicious!
All in all, our evening at Restaurant Mirabona was truly unforgettable—a top-notch culinary adventure that left us with lasting memories and a newfound appreciation for...
