Es Magatzem. Fat y Salat — Restaurant in ses Salines

Worst and most unwelcoming experience I have had while in Spain. Walked up and was greeted with a stare, no greeting whatsoever, and asked politely for a table for two. Despite there being literally no other people seated at the restaurant, hostess proceeded to yell back in Spanish something and then coldly told us we can sit. I have never felt so unwelcome at an establishment in my life, where I’m showing up to spend my money and give someone business. Rude waitstaff. Cold environment. Clearly has a hate for tourists ( but I’m sure they are perfectly fine with taking our money, of course). Not sure what we did to deserve that treatment. Even when we politely asked for the bill they sent someone over then pointed at us and started laughing and talking about us in Spanish. Certainly would never return and would never recommend anyone to come here, especially if you are not Spanish because there seems to be a hatred for anyone not Spanish here. We came twice and had a lovely dinner. I would really recommend the grilled fish, it’s soo tasty. The croquettas are good as well and the meatballs . I wouldn’t recommend the goat cheese salad though, it was just greens with 2 tomato’s and a piece of paprika. The cheese is not grilled or anything. The waitress was nice to us, but I think because my boyfriend Spanish. We often saw that she would ignore guest and first finish her tasks before addressing them. I didn’t like this. You could at least say hello and then do your things and then address them but she was just ignoring them for a few minutes. Still, the food is nice and if your in this area I would recommend...

A simple, cozy, and homely spot with a relaxed atmosphere. My husband and I had a great experience!

The fried octopus and sea bream with fries were outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. One of the best fishes I’ve ever had.

The homemade almond cake was light and well-balanced, and the lemon cream was also perfect.
