Clean, fresh, stylish and great ambience; exactly the kind of cafe that was missing in this area of the island. It is so refreshing to see that a place like La Mola can have the courage to open up a modern style cafe in an area where (as far as I know) nothing like it existed before. The coffee, beans/roast and brew style are totally up to date and extracted perfectly (for my liking, anyway) - my favorite being the Kenyan bean in a ristretto style shot. Absolutely delicious. The almond cake though not homemade, complimented the coffee perfectly. Next time I will try a homemade variety. As much as I like to find fault, I could not in the “Mallorca” toast, either. High quality ingredients, bread properly toasted and exactly the right amount of cheese and jamón. Nice to see that the Rocket was fresh and not sad or soggy, which happens all to often in many establishments. I have yet to try a milk based drink or smoothie, but will do during my next visit. Overall, I am truly excited to have such a place to come to in the middle of the island. A must visit...
Read moreI always get excited when I find a third wave coffee spot while on a holiday. I passed this gem on the way to Formentor and skidded to a halt when I saw how beautifully designed and welcoming it was, with its Melbourne cafe style gently promising a (growing number but still rare outside Palma) cup of specialty coffee. I was not disappointed! I had an excellent espresso from Papua New Guinea with a gentle but palpable fruitiness accompanied by nice notes of I would say molasses, dry plum and chocolate. The staff is also super friendly and quite excited when approached for their 3rd wave coffee beans, which they always have two sorts of ready for you to choose from in their grinders. Verdict: Stylish interior with plenty of seating space inside and outside, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and expertly extracted, light roasted specialty coffee… I’ll definitely be back! Oh and if you’re a biking aficionado, there’s tons to see (and buy) for you here as well. Fully...
Read moreCOFFEE Coffee was super sour and not too tasty (we're coffee lovers and had really good ones in Mallorca already).
FOOD The bread of the sandwiches was self-baked, and the sandwiches tasted alright - nothing too special. Also, as others already mentioned: you don't get what you see in the pictures of the google entry but what's available that day. We were hoping for the nice bread with goat cheese and apricots, but they only had some less interesting sandwiches. We also tried the apple tarte - again good but not special, that certain something is missing.
SERVICE Not very courteous or accommodating, but also not unfriendly. Just not the way that makes you feel warmly welcomed and wanting to come back.
AMBIENTE nice looking inside, cool style, quite cozy. They also have some seats outside. Tables are left a bit dirty.
So an rather...
