Chiringuito de Garraf — Restaurant in Sitges

Stopped here with two friends visiting from NYC. There was tons of tables open with nice views of the ocean and beach. I would say only 10% of the tables actually had people at it. After standing around for a while, and no one talking to us even though they kept walking past us, we finally got the attention of someone who worked there. They then informed us that the section we wanted to sit in was closed, even though there was people sitting there eating, and that we needed to sit in another section. We thought that was weird but said ok. We asked to sit at another table with a view, in the section they said was open, and they then said no that all those tables were reserved and we could only sit in a table against a wall with no view. Once again, the restaurant was 90% empty in the middle of the day and in August when all of Spain is empty. They would have had to have everyone on the beach come up for food at once for any of this to be true... We decided to leave, as they obviously didn't want our business, and I will never go back or tell anyone else to go there. The three workers we dealt with were completely rude and couldn't care less about what customers think... Not a good...

The manager was rude, unfriendly and sarcastic. They got angry with us because we sat at a table because no waiter was to be found. Not only did we feel not welcomed, but also their version of a mediterranean salad was awful. They put tuna in there and half of an egg for some reason… And the salad just wasn’t mediterranean. The dressing was a thick garlic sauce. And there where two unidentifiable ingredients in the rice. They do not include the ingredients of the meals in the menu and i find that’s ridiculous. How can you order something without knowing what it is made of? What about serious allergies and special diets? The manager told us that the salad was just their own version so i don’t understand why would they name it after a different salad. Only one person from the staff spoke understandable english. The prices are very high and they fool you by only writing a price for one person when the minimum serving is for two people… The food just wasn’t tasty and there were pigeons seen on the counter which is very unhygienic. I suggest others not to come here just take your own food to the beach and...

WATCH OUT if you are a foreigner! We made a reservation well in advance for a lunch at 12:45. When we came to the restaurant there was not that many people. The guy in the door ask if we had a reservation and I politely replied that we did. He took as to a table for four (but we were only two) but the table was almost inside the kitchen with lots of traffic. Also this was during summer with 30+ degrees so it was very hot. I asked for another table closer of the water but the guys said they were booked. This is an obvious lie ask you cannot make reservations for a specific table at this restaurant. The ONLY reason to why this guys gave us this table (there were many free ones at the time) was because I’m a foreigner. I would not recommend this place to tourists passing by as you will be...
