Title: "A Ghastly Gastronomic Nightmare with a Side of Stunning Views"
Oh, where do I even begin with this sorry excuse for a restaurant in Garraf, Barcelona? Let's start with the breathtaking views, shall we? Yes, they do boast about their "amazing views," but that's probably the only thing that doesn't make you question your sanity for setting foot in this establishment.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a girl who apparently believed she held the keys to the kingdom. With an air of authority, she informed us that we couldn't choose our table, despite having made a reservation. Oh, how silly of us to assume that making a reservation actually meant something. According to her, we needed to have the foresight of a psychic and book 15 days in advance to be granted the privilege of sitting near the sea. Talk about a classic case of "reserve or suffer."
Now, let's move on to the culinary catastrophe that unfolded before us. The food, or should I say, the monstrosities they dared to call food, were an assault on our taste buds and a disgrace to the art of gastronomy. The taste was so abysmal that it felt like they had a grudge against flavor itself. The presentation was equally appalling, as if the chef had mastered the art of making every dish look like a failed science experiment. To add insult to injury, not a single soul bothered to inquire about our abandoned plates. It seems they have perfected the art of selective blindness, as they blissfully ignored our obvious disgust and dissatisfaction.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of stunning views and enjoy the masochistic pleasure of being treated like an inconsequential peasant, this restaurant is the perfect fit for you. Just be prepared to leave with your taste buds in shock and your wallet lighter, all while questioning the meaning of life itself....
Read moreVery disappointing experience. Sure, the view from terrace is stunning! Great spot to watch the sea. But, everything else is pretty underwhelming. The fish was raw, the carpaccio still frozen which we both had to rerun to the kitchen. Actually, next time - if you wanna pretend it’s freshly cut and prepared - don’t serve it out of the fridge within 5 min after ordering… just let some minutes pass, so people actually could imagine it’s fresh ;) Well, here even some more recommendations for you, to make the guest experience a tiny bit better: if you have access from the beach, welcome and organize guests maybe already there instead of sending them to main entry again. ( a maybe even in a friendly welcoming way? You like guests, right? ) Optimize menu to something the chef and team is able to handle. If it’s only paella, then it’s only paella. At least, no disappointed after ordering. make sure, every waiter can also manage drink orders. ‚I can not take your order. You have to wait for my colleague!‘ is not really smooth. Not expecting this from a place in that price category. You can do better! Make this...
Read moreThe classic restaurant with an amazing location and view that feels it doesn't need to make the effort. Staff were completely unphased and un welcoming as we got in and got worse as lunch went on. Thankfully the menu had allergens noted as my partner had a nut allergy... Unfortunately it doesn't mean anything... A carpacio that just had a sign for wheat allergy had pinenuts all over it and when we got a new one without we realized their was a tomato sauce under the carpaccio which was made with nuts! When we prompted the waiter he said it was written on the menu, but as he showed us the menu he felt stupid that it was not... Funny enough the local speciality sauce was written and it comes with nuts... But of course no mention of it in the menu. Of course no excuse even as it could've ended up in disaster. No trust in the menu meant we just had to leave... As we were leaving we finally got a faint nod of the head saying sorry but nothing else. The only food we had was okay but definitely nothing to...
