This venue is great for capturing photos and enjoying a glass of wine, but it falls short when it comes to offering a satisfying culinary experience. It's unfortunate that such a stunning location is being underutilized; it truly deserves better. Despite placing a substantial order, our hopes were dashed upon receiving the starters. One of them was the "ventresca de atún," which turned out to be a disappointment. The dish consisted of a few plain tomatoes and canned tuna atop, a far cry from what we expected.
Realizing the discrepancy, we promptly canceled our order and verified with the waiter that indeed it was canned tuna. Thankfully, the salad was refunded. The owner approached us shortly after to address the issue, and we explained that the entire dish fell short of expectations and wasn't worth its 22eur+ price tag. Regrettably, the owner was resistant to admitting the use of canned tuna, despite the waiter's confirmation. The owner even raised the question publicly, "Would a restaurant of this caliber serve canned fish?" To our astonishment, he argued that ventresca de atún in Spain wasn't actually tuna belly, shifting the blame to us for anticipating a sashimi-style presentation.
The owner's behavior was less than pleasant, as he brought the chef into the public discussion, with all patrons as witnesses. Despite this disappointing encounter, it's a true pity that today the establishment is listed as "Temporarily closed" on Google. Perhaps our experience was a harbinger of this development. Here's to hoping that one day, this space will house a splendid restaurant that lives up to its potential, offering both aesthetics and a delightful...
Read moreS’Era De Pula is a good restaurant with a combination of rustic and modern design and a stunning view of the Golf court and the mountain landscape. Our absolute favourite is the lava chocolate cake (Chocolate coulant) with crunchy vanilla ice cream. During our stay at the Pula Golf Resort, we ordered it three times! We can also recommend the Club Sandwich and the Gourmet Hamburger. Unfortunately, the second time we ordered the Gourmet Hamburger, the beef was not medium but rather rare. On top, it’s a little too expensive. Once we wanted to try the „Mallorcan Coca with sardines in vinegar“. After asking Google what this Coca looks like, we expected something similar to a pizza. But what came was a tiny round flat baked bread with a minimum topping for 15€ - a seemingly gourmet speciality which was not...
