I went to this restaurant with 2 friends after a wine tour. Firstly the location is amazing with stunning views over the Montserrat (although we were put on a table far from the windows with a pillar blocking out the view so that was a disappointment). The decor is very clean and relaxing so I was looking forward to a nice meal. It took about 15 minutes to even get menus it was long enough that we talked about just leaving and going somewhere else. Eventually some menus were slapped down on the table (literally). I'm vegetarian and had checked beforehand about options and told there would be some. There weren't any vegetarian options other than a roast vegetable starter. They agreed to remove the foix from one dish (also a starter) for me for mains. My friends had the breaded calamari (clearly from a packet and very chewy) and the croquettes (they were pretty good), the roast vegetables though we're the best dish of the day. For mains I had patatas with smashed egg . The potatoes were soggy and it wasn't very tasty. One of my friends had the veal (was a steak not really veal and was too tough to finish) the other had pork shoulder (was ok). Both meat dishes came with nothing on the plate other than a piece of meat, the plates were totally undressed with just a hunk of meat slapped onto the plate. Part way through the meal a waiter came running past and tried to grab the condiments tray, couldn't quite reach and then reached around the aforementioned pillar feeling around the table to try to get hold of the tray, it was very bizarre. For the price we paid the service was awful and the food worse. I would definitely not recommend this place. There are such good places to eat close to here there is no point...
Read moreAn unforgettable experience at Mirador de les Caves!
Everything about this place is exceptional — the breathtaking views over the Penedès vineyards, the warm and attentive service, and above all, the absolutely phenomenal food. The grilled vegetables were bursting with natural flavor, the scallops were delicate and perfectly seasoned, and the beef fillet — simply divine, cooked to perfection with a juicy, tender center. The carpaccio with arugula and pine nuts was a highlight, both fresh and flavorful.
This is not just a restaurant — it’s a full sensory experience. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a stunning lunch spot in Catalonia, Mirador de les Caves is a must-visit. Make sure to book a table in advance via Google...
