This is an excellent restaurant in an idyllic location. Undoubtedly the best in La Mora, with great views and food, and very family friendly. In fact, you can eat and drink well while your children play in a cosy and family friendly beach that is literally five meters away from your table.
The fact that it has been open since 1975 is a testament to its enduring quality. The place is elegant but down to earth. Price is above average, but afordable nevertheless, and in my opinion very good value considering the quality of the ingredients and preparation. Paellas, for example, are prepared from scratch using prime ingredients, not pre-pepared concentrate, which is rare for a beach restaurant.
My wife and I live in the area and go several times a week for breakfast or lunch, and every time we bask in the simple pleasure of eating well while watching the...
Read moreThis is my first review on Google - just had to do it to warn others of our experience. We’re Asian - place was less than half full but no one bothered to serve us, we were at the entrance looking at the menu for a while but none of the 4-5 staff working bothered to ask us if we wanted a table. We had to approach and ask if we could sit anywhere. Once we sat down, 10 mins went by without anyone clearing our table (it was full of leftover dishes and wine glasses) or giving us a menu - we had to ask for it once again. And of course, no one came to take our order and we had to ask again. We also had to ask for our bread which they forgot, and we asked for our bill twice. Food was average, would definitely NOT recommend to anyone who IS NOT a...
Read moreThe best thing about this place is the view - the ocean! The service is a little strange as you have a specific waiter for your area/table, if you ask another waiter for something like a water or alioli for your dinner, you get told to ask your waiter. This can be frustrating as then you have to try find your waiter. When we arrived we also explained we had a reservation but again we had to wait for one specific person to take us to our table. The food is very reasonably priced, we had the black rice paella which was very tasty, the croquettes and bravas could have been better. The fondant was not warm - it was...
