Casa Tomas is primarily a seafood restaurant but also offers a fine range of meat dishes as well. It's located right on the sea so the views are spectacular. What we really liked about it is that the interior has an old world charm, basic but tastefully decorated.
After studying the mouth watering menu for a while I opted for the prawn cocktail starter and my wife went for the melon and ham. Both were absolutely divine.
When it came time to order the mains, the waiter took his time explaining in detail about the Catch of The Day and we both opted for this.
The fish arrived beautifully cooked and they were hefty sizes. They were baked in garlic and a variety of different seasonings and the consistency was fluffy and absolutely delicious.
But it was the Canarian potatoes that were the real winners. As Irish people we love a good spud and these were the best we've tasted since coming here.
And we got a splendid white wine to accompany our meal.
I didn't want the meal to end so I ordered the Lemon Sorbet and it was the perfect finish to what was the best seafood experience I think we've had outside of Greece.
When it was time to head back to our favourite bar in Costa Teguise the staff called the taxi for us and waved us off as we left.
Our dining experience in Casa Tomas was absolute perfection from start to finish and it will definitely get a return visit when we both need...
Read moreCasa Tomás is an outstanding gem on the Lanzarote coast—an experience that seamlessly blends authentic local flavors with unbeatable seaside charm. We arrived without a reservation, fully aware that it's known to be a tough table to get, but to our delight, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and found us a spot within 10 minutes. Not just any table, either—we were seated on the terrace right by the sea, with the sound of the waves providing the perfect background.
We started with a briota, which I found slightly dry, but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. The fried local cheese was rich, golden, and perfectly paired with a drizzle of sweet sauce. The puntillas (baby squid) were absolutely spectacular—crisp, tender, and bursting with flavor. Paired with ice-cold Tropical and Dorada Especial beers, the meal was refreshingly satisfying.
The service was attentive yet relaxed, and the setting—just steps from the Atlantic—made it feel like a truly special moment. At €77.50 for two people, it was more than fair given the quality, location, and overall experience.
I highly recommend Casa Tomás for anyone looking to enjoy excellent Canarian cuisine in a truly privileged location. Make sure to book ahead if you can, but even if you don’t—be patient. It’s absolutely...
