Honestly bad experience, I don’t understand the reviews. First they don’t give you any menus for the food and the wines list, you have to use internet, but the area doesn’t have internet so you have to use the wifi, so annoying. Then it was reaaaaaally long to even order a drink, the waiter left for like 20 minutes minimum. We finally ordered, our waiter was in a rush and speed for no reason the restaurant was empty and did not listen to half of the things we requested. I ordered a steak with mushroom, took them 30 minutes to come back to me to announce to me and my wife that the steak was not available anymore, of course they had me order the more expensive angus but proposed the mushroom sauce. My friend received the paella and the tartare, the paella was way to salty and they forgot the potatoes with the tartares. My wife and I finally received the steak 10 minutes after my friends, they bring the wrong salade to my wife and no muschroom to my steak. When we let them know about the missing items they told us that the kitchen was closed ! We said Okey and decided to try the salade! It was impossible to eat! Like impossible we had to spit the cabbage into the towel, they probably had a problem in the kitchen and put way to much salt in the cabage! It was seriously disgusting. It’s the first time in my life that I have to spit something into a towel. Finally the waiter told us that it was sorry about that, and complain about the kitchen, not about his bad service and offered us deserts. We took deserts, even if at first we were not interested by deserts and when the bill arrived the 6 deserts was on the bill!!!! + the missing potatoes + a water we never ordered. When I told him about the dessert he said that he never said that and it was a English problem but he clearly offered that and the 6 of us understood very clearly the same. he didn’t accept to take the deserts off the bill and proposed a liquor instead (what a joke). We refused and he brings the manager to us. Finally the manager accepted to take off the deserts and we left the restaurant.

To resume, bad service, slow, food way to salty for no reason, missing items and not honest. I...

We've dined at Dunas a few times now and we've had consistently good food, we like the fusion / twist with local produce and dishes. Not to mention the hidden location and great view.

This time we were dining with friends for Sunday Lunch, having reserved a table in advance we were rewarded with a sea view from the covered terrace, sheltered from the cool wind (Jan 2023).

We ordered 4 starters and it was suggested to serve them in two courses. The tostadas de jamon iberico bellota was highly rated by the fellas. I ordered the Dunas Salade as the menu mentioned "morena chips" which is a dish I love at their other Restaurante El Risco. Had I looked at the Spanish menu I would have realised this was their take on the ensaladilla Rusa or Ucrania as we call it now, with some crunchy bits of eel on top. It was still tasty, but it wasn't the type of salad I was expecting. The fried smoked cheese over delivered on our expectation - so often this can be a bland cheese, where as this had flavour and encased in a crunchy batter. The 4th starter was papas arrugadas (wrinkled spuds) with mojos which were enjoyed by our visiting friends.

For our mains two of our party ordered meat dishes and two shared an arroz de marisco. I adored the rice dish, it's served in a massive paella pan and had a lovely socarrat, the portion size was just perfect for 2 of us.

A waiter recommended the house dessert special of profiteroles, whilst I tried the "espuma de creme bruleé" served in a cup. If you're expecting a standard creme bruleé you could be disappointed, this pudding was a creamy texture with caramalised pineapple and almond crumble.

There was live music which was the right volume so you could enjoy it, but not intrude on your dining experience.

Buen recibimiento y posterior acomodamiento en nuestra mesa. Nos dejaron las cartas, por cierto dos cartas diferentes la del actual restaurante y parece ser que la del antiguo restaurante. Acto seguido nos preguntaron si queríamos beber algo, accedimos a ello y diez minutos mas tarde nos trajeron la mitad de la bebida que habíamos solicitado con la cerveza equivocada. La toma de la comanda fue un poco extraña, pedimos dos platos, tarta de atún con huevo y jamón ibérico cortado a cuchillo. El maitre nos comento que no disponían de atún aunque estaban en temporada y que no tenia jamón porque el cortador no había acudido a trabajar… sin embargo trato muy bien a mis hijos porque nos dio diferentes opciones para niños. Escogimos para ellos una tiras de pescado rebozado con patatas fritas. Seguimos pidiendo lo nuestro y cogimos, gambas rojas, pulpo y cantárelo frito. Nos acabaron de traer la parte de las bebidas que faltaban mientras el maitre no cogía la comanda. Nos preguntaron si queríamos pan y accedimos a ello. Cual fue la sorpresa que cuando nos trajeron el pan solo trajeron para dos y éramos cuatro. Pedimos un Champagne rosado y el jefe o dueño porque iba diferente vestido nos trajo la botella con su correspondiente cubitera y nos pregunto si queríamos copa de vino o de flauta para el champagne y cogimos la de vino…. Gracias por preguntar! Aproximadamente 25 minutos mas tarde de la cogida de comanda nos llegaron a la mesa las gambas, que estaban buenas sin mas, quizás costaba pelarlas. 15 minutos mas tarde nos trajeron el pescado de los niños que estaba bueno con unas patatas fritas que realmente no estaban muy buenas, les faltaba freírse mas, estaban cocidas. A nosotros nos tocaba ahora el pulpo y el maitre se acerco y nos dijo que no nos iba a sacar el pulpo porque se les había pasado de cocción…. La verdad que nos quedamos boquiabiertos porque no nos dio ninguna solución ni sugerencia al respecto. Nos quedamos sin saber que hacer porque no nos dio mas opciones así que accedimos al comer el siguiente plato que fue el cantarelo. Mientras tanto le pedimos a un camarero si podía llevarse parte de la vajilla (vasos y botellas vacías que teníamos encima de la mesa) que nos estaban molestando. 20 minutos mas tarde nos trajeron el pescado, que estaba bueno aunque nos pareció la ración para dos muy justa ya que teníamos hambre y estábamos teniendo mala suerte con nuestra experiencia en este restaurante. Mi hija pidió un helado que tardo en llegar a la mesa aproximadamente 15 minutos mas tarde. No tomamos postre, no tomamos café porque nos quedamos tristes, nos quedamos desilusionados y sin ganas de esperar más tiempo. Soy hostelera de toda la vida, amo mi profesión, me encanta trabajar de cara al público y hacer disfrutar a la gente. Lo visto ayer en esa sala deja mucho que desear…camareros corriendo como pollos sin cabezas, camareros sin saber donde tenían que llevar los platos; las bebidas, camareros perdidos, mesas desatendidas, mesas olvidadas, servicio triste, servicio lento, camareros sin un rumbo marcado por un jefe, por un maitre que estaban desbordados. Todos podemos cometer errores, todos podemos ir lentos en algún servicio pero ayer note una falta de profesionalidad y de dejadez tremenda. Cuando hay algún problema o error hay que intentar subsanarlo o corregirlo. Tal es así que hasta en la cuenta se equivocaron.. cobrándonos el pulpo que nos sacaron y otra botella de champagne que solo bebimos una. Espero y deseo que lo de ayer fuese un pequeño accidente, que no sea la nota general de este restaurante porque la ubicación y la localización son preciosas. Es un sitio para hacer disfrutar a la gente y para hacerles felices. No estoy enfadada, estoy triste y algún día volveré y os daré otra oportunidad. Lo siento si he sido un poco dura contando mi experiencia ya que no lo hago nunca pero me hicisteis sentir triste, muy triste. Un perdón, una pequeña explicación hubiese subsanado todo lo acontecido porque puedo llegar a entenderos, hablo el mismo lenguaje que...
