Edy’s House — Restaurant in Teulada

Very disappointed, even when visiting with not-high expectations at 20€. The terrace is nice but plagued with flies. Yes it happens in September of course when the vines are cut, but you could try some fly tapes maybe. And why not some traps for wasps who also joined the party. Further on the flies, there's a horse or two next door, which doesn't help. The food was very salty even by Spanish standards which I am comfortable with after 6 years. Seafood soup was too salty and a bit pointless somehow. Pork cheeks were a bit chewy compared to GIMA for example and just not great. I didn't finish them. If you know me, you know thats unusual haha! There was some funny business with the bill also. I was so disappointed that I didn't ask for dessert which they didn't think to offer me. I ordered a cortado to try and make me feel better, but it had almost no milk. It's a shame because I saw all the love when they opened this new location. But like I said, even at 20€ it was a bit gross. The menus are dirty and sticky and things felt a bit unclean. I came home and washed my hands. I wouldn't return even though they have a very good flamenco group coming soon. Good luck if you go, maybe they do a good BBQ? After reading the reviews, which include some negative comments about portion size and quality of the food, we were a little apprehensive about visiting this restaurant, despite its high google rating. However, I am happy to report a positive experience, and certainly no issues of concern. We,ate from the daily menú del día, although 20 euro and 25 euro options are available as well. The food was tasty, well presented and very good value for money. Whilst there is not, as yet, air conditioning, a free standing fan helped to keep us cool. The restaurant is attractive inside and spacious; a pleasant surprise given the outside of the building. Sadly the new location and menu is overpriced for what is very average food, compared to many venues in the area…., in our group two had prawn cocktail which was watery and one only had 2 small shrimps and found a piece of plastic in his dish, and the other left it, as lettuce was soggy and not good, the Salmon portion was small and dish bland, the cheesecake was small with a heavy spread of strawberry jam on top.., the positives were that our waiter and service was good and the steak i has was good quality.but out of 4 of us 3 had a bad...
