Recommended to us by our Airbnb host, Los Olivos was a terrific find! Don’t let the rather basic interior fool you, this family run business is offering exceptional, fresh meals with friendly, professional service, at a very good value.
Though we were on La Palma only for less than a week, the food was so exceptional, we chose to eat here twice. Both visits, we started with the ceviche, but the second time, we knew it was too good to share, so we each had our own order (and the portions are generous). On our first visit, we opted for some of the South American dishes. For our return visit, the owner suggested some of the grilled meats.
We are Americans, living in Europe for 5+ years, there is only one other time we have had a steak here that was as flavorful and perfectly cooked as the one we were served at Lo Olivos.

We did not appreciate a point. When we ordered a dessert, one of the waitresses came back to tell us that there was no more. She then stopped at the next table to tell them that they were putting the dessert aside for them (little parenthesis: the customer turned to us, shaking her hair... but the customer's smug look is not the fault of the restaurant, just funny). And then they made them switch tables so we wouldn't notice.
