Aota Sushi — Restaurant in Torremolinos

We have nothing negative to say about our experience at Aota sushi! We visited around 1:30pm on a weekday to enjoy their €14.95 sushi buffet.

This cheaper buffet only includes a limited number of dishes on the menu but we still found this to be more than enough options! After two rounds of ordering we were full, despite wanting to try more things available to us on the menu! You don't need to buy a drink with this buffet, but you will be charged if you leave food waste and cannot eat everything.

The buffet also has many options that aren't just limited to sushi - we had bao buns, gyoza and crispy duck! Some of the sushi options are also unique and very tasty, such as the fried maki. At the end of our meal, the waiter also pointed us towards the self-serve ice-cream counter that came included in the buffet, too!

Our particular waiter was very friendly and spoke great English, Spanish and Chinese. We felt very welcomed at Aota Sushi and got such good value for money for...

I had one of the worst experiences ever at Aota Sushi. The service was shockingly bad. To order anything, you have to ask a waiter — but even when I did, they just disappeared. During lunch, I called over both a female and a male staff member on two separate occasions, and neither of them ever came back to take my order.

The system they use simply does not work. It’s inefficient, frustrating, and painfully slow. Maybe a iPad to order or something like that would work better. It took me over two hours to get through a lunch that would normally take me 30 minutes. I actually left still hungry.

I also didn’t understand the idea of the dessert — the self-serve ice cream was frankly disgusting. People were sticking their hands into the containers, which made it really unhygienic.

For the price — which is the same as any other sushi buffet in Marbella — this kind of experience is unacceptable. They seriously need to rethink how...

O was shocked with how good the food was. The quality of the food was fantastic. The service was at a good speed and staff were friendly. I will say that the portion size for things like the rice and miso soup are just far too big. Not complaining but they charge €17.95 per person and your order five dishes at a time. I ordered miso soup and rice in the first round and it was massive. So it worked towards filling me up more than I wanted to be. Was this a scam or part of the plan so you can't order too much. I dunno but be conscious of this factor. That being said I still have it a five star because everything was just as big and they are not shy with portion sizes.
