Big House — Restaurant in Torrevieja

The food was great very home made not greasy at all. Perfect taste. It was great and would go again. I love the variety in the menu. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The only one thing I would change is the staff to inform msg is used. I seldom have encountered msg use when eating out asian food in my country and get sick the whole next day I am unfortunately intolerant of this and it is used here. I wish it could be listed as ingredients in the menu or staff couldd ask of anyone is msg intolerant because when I eat sushi in my country they don't use although I know it is popular even in homemade asian cousine. So please if you are allergic like me don't forget to request leaving it out...

WHAT A POOR MEAL! Food poor, service VERY poor! We have been before and it was excellent - this time it was LESS that poor! The plates cold, food only luke warm and dry, very poorly presented! The Waitress did nothing but stand and stare at us throughout making my wife feel very uneasy! We even given the knife and fork used for our starter back to use for our main course! When I asked for a clean one it seemed like I was putting them out! I understand its a quiet period for the restaurant BUT standards have fallen far to much - after driving 40 minuites to get to this restaurant, we will never return to this place again!...

The food here just has an extra little something about it, I don't know what the chef does, maybe honey in the dressing or a little extra aniseed on the pincho, but wherever it is, it's had us returning here regularly for 15 years.
