Restaurante La Boca — Restaurant in Torrevieja

On our wedding anniversary, my husband arranged a surprise dinner at this restaurant. He ordered the Langoustine prawns as a starter, which he was satisfied with. I opted for the beef fillet as my main course and requested it to be cooked medium. However, when it was served, it was overcooked (well done) I expressed my disappointment to the male staff member, informing him that I had specifically asked for it to be cooked medium. Approximately around 15 minutes after my meal was taken away, the restaurant replaced it. My husband had finished his meal, so I proceeded to eat my own dish and was merely satisfied with the second meal served.

My husband had a dessert, and we enjoyed a couple of cocktails afterward. When it was time to pay, we were unfortunately presented with a bill that did not include any small discount for my overcooked main course. Furthermore, there was no apology offered. Despite paying the bill, I felt compelled to inform the staff that we had made a reservation for our wedding anniversary, but no one acknowledged us or apologised for the steak not being prepared as we had requested. Absolutly Perfect. We went here from the way from the airport to La Manga a stopped only for this restaurant.

The meals are incredible. They could charge twice as much for the quality and the presentation. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

We had vegetarian food and fish and we loved it since it goes beyond the “normal” dishes you can eat as a vegetarian/pescetarian. You feel that the chef is a professional since f.e. the eggs in the salad were still warm and 7/8 minutes eggs on point. They had lots of different flavors in the “normal salad”. The bread on the Salat was not the typical white wheat baguette. It was a rich nutty olive bread sliced into thing sliced with a touch of garlic.. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. On top of mashed potatos and Chrispy bread.

The cocktails were amazing and delicious. Your sit beach front on the terrace, they also have an inner dining room which is nicely decorated modern style.

Unfortunately, as usual in the summer, it wasn't great. They forgot an important ingredient in my dinner, and I had to chase the staff to get a complete dish. What was supposed to be Nordic shrimp to my dish turned out to be pre-peeled shrimp from a can, which were watery. Several ingredients were also missing from another person's meal in our party, but we didn't receive any service, so it wasn't possible to complete the dish. No one asked how the food tasted though the dinner, only when they came to take payment. No one asked if we wanted anything else to drink during the meal, and we couldn't get in touch with the service.
