Fonda Cobadana Restaurant — Restaurant in Urús

It is always great to come to Fonda Cobadana. The place is warm and charming any season: you can enjoy the small garden and terrace during summer and you enjoy the cosy tables by the fireplace in autumn and winter.

Guess it is clear I like the place :-) I actually like the service and the food as well, although I do have some minor concerns which makes me set 4 stars only.

No problem with the service, but the menu has excellent dishes with not-that-great ones. It is a pity because they do have the knowledge to do everything in an excellent way, but I feel they don't push enough sometimes. E.g. despite paying 4€ extra for the "migas" those are not worth it.

Menu keeps quite the same: a few tapas + the menu (24€) consisting of starter, main, dessert and water.

We just wanted to have a quick lunch and surprisingly we ended up with the whole menu. Both the starter and the main course were fabulous... the Timbal de verduretes al forn was delicious, the filet de Vedella was super tender and very tasty. The Pastís de formatge la Vinya (Cheesecake) was a piece of art!!! Unfortunately, a wasp ended up into my glass of beer but the waitress exchanged my beer without charging it extra, TOP service. Although I do understand Catalan but my wife doesn't, they gave her the menu in English, nice...
