La Mia Pasta Italiana — Restaurant in Vélez-Málaga

All tourist must read! Simply the best.

We were looking for a good pasta place to eat some lunch in Torre del Mar. We found La Mia and gave it a change. A little drive from the beach and you enter Velez-Malaga. The first impression was not the best. There was no one on the terrace which usually is not a good sign. But we trusted our feeling and still went inside.

We are grateful that we trusted our instinct. All the food we ate was delicious. Everything is homemade. You must go!

We ate suppli carbonara as starter, 10/10!!! Then I had the Ravioli with butter and sage. The sage came straight from the garden. We saw the woman picking the sage. Fresher than that is not possible. I cannot describe the taste it was so amazing. 10/10!!! My girlfriend had pasta crema de ricotta which was amazing as well. Luckily she didn’t finish the whole plate so I could enjoy the leftovers. 10/10!

We got some olive bread and ham bread on the house. Also homemade! Also a straight 10/10! I make bread at home myself so I know a lot about the taste but never can my bread have the same taste as this one.

Normally I’m quite critical when it comes to food. This time I can't think of a single bad point. The lady was so nice and sweet. You can park on a parking place around the corner for free. And the food is very low priced.

If you are around make sure you visit and go here for lunch or dinner. It is definitely worth it. Trust me. Rather eat here, have an amazing time and go to the beach afterwards than eat somewhere with a nice view but where the food and service is bad.

We bought some cookies to eat at home as well. After writing this review I will eat one with a nice cup of espresso.

We were so caught up in the lovely atmosphere that we completely forgot to take photos! Julianna was a fantastic host — warm, welcoming, and attentive. We tried two pasta dishes, and both were absolutely delicious. I had the special of the day: gnocchi with ricotta and lemon, which was light, fresh, and bursting with flavour. My husband chose the fusilli all’arrabbiata, perfectly spiced and incredibly satisfying. Both dishes were so good we seriously considered ordering them again! We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. As a bonus, their takeaway bread selection looked amazing — I’ll definitely be taking some...

This was a fabulous find. We all loved our meals and there were five of us here! We each ordered something different and it was all just exactly what we were looking for. The waitress was a delight. She helped us order with suggestions based on our likes and she was right! She must also double as a chef because she told us some of the foods were her creation! Bombillas de parmigiana were hers and tasted sublime!
