Just returned from lunch, (Menu del Dia) with two friends, food OK, Restaurant not busy, service terrible.
Took 30 minutes to even get the right Menu and Order a drink. Eventually starters arrived, a good twenty minutes before our plates were cleared. Main Course, again twenty minutes and only three arrived clearly they had forgotten the fourth. Eventually got a waiters attention it was apparent that I was without food, the waiter returned to say it would be ready in a few minutes. It arrived (pasta) so dry on top that the Paremsan cheese was in a solid lump and in the bottom of the bowl it was full of oil. It had obviously been made and sat for a considerable amount of time.
Having eaten (without complaint) we ordered desert, two coffees and two flans. What's difficult, waited a further twenty minutes, no waiters about at all, went into main Restaurant and our waiter was sat at the Bar having his lunch!! I asked what happened to our Coffee and flan and received a blank look. I demanded the Bill, and the Bar Man rushed to the Till and reeled it off. I might add, the fastest anyone had moved since we sat down in the Restaurnt. I reluctantly paid only the exact amount of the Bill even though we did not receive our coffee or Desert.
The whole experience was extremely embarrassing since the friends we introduced had been told how good the experience would be. From the outset, the waiter had no interest in serving us, he did plenty of table and chair re-arranging on the other side of the Resteraunt and laying up of tables but no attention was paid to us at all, even when my Lady companion put all of our empty starter plates in a pile on the edge of our table the waiter walked pass them at least three times and ignored them, infact in the end they were removed by a waiter working in another part of the Restaurant.
A very unpleasant and embarrassing experience from a waiter who clearly has no interest in those who...
Read moreHave visited many restaurants since living in Torre Del Mar and I was really looking forward to eating here, so disappointed!
Decided to pop into the Safari Tapas bar next door to the restaurant for a quick bite, the waiter brought over the menu without acknowledging my existence, then waited 20 minutes to be served while other peoples orders were taken and food delivered. I then gave up waiting and went to the bar (in case it was bar service which was odd seeing as everyone else had table service) placed my order with a lovely woman behind the bar; then the same waiter delivered my food with an attitude like I had just insulted his mother!
Again he didn't even say a word to us, and when I asked for the ruta de tapas offer I was told it was no longer available despite watching two people receive that order while I was eating. Just terrible service!
If you want nice food but to be treated like rubbish by staff that clearly think your not good enough to eat at their restaurant this is the...
Read moreI’m not even sure what to say — the experience fell far short of our expectations. The staff seemed overwhelmed, rushing around in a frenzy, visibly exhausted and sweating. While it’s clear they were trying to serve customers, the atmosphere felt chaotic and uncomfortable.
We ordered two rice wok dishes with Argentinian fillet and vegetables, plus two fillets served on hot stone. The service was surprisingly fast — too fast, in fact. There was barely any time to enjoy an aperitif before our order arrived. The plates came piled with salad and vegetables, but the portions of meat were small, and the rice was undercooked, drowning in a pool of sauce.
No one checked in to ask if everything was okay, and communication was difficult with no English spoken. The plates were whisked away just as abruptly as they arrived, adding to the confusion.
Overall, it was a disappointing Friday night out and a poor use of nearly 100 euros. I wouldn’t...
