Have had lunch here 4 times now. First time in December, it was very quite, food was good, service good. Next three times in March and April. A change in staff, it is busier now as tourists are coming in. Service is just short of being horribly rude. The whole of the staff are not organised, running around, looking for the next thing. Shambolic at best. (I have worked as a waiter for 23 years, I know shambolic.)The food quality has changed, not for the better. We waited a fair amount of time for for our food and then they only brought 2 of 3 dishes, informing us, only then that they ran out of the other dish. It was a salad. Really? So we ordered a hot dish instead. No problem. It came 1 hour later after asking 4 times for the dish and a glass. I finally got up and went to the bar and helped myself to a glass. Self service! When I politely asked in Spanish for them to remove the dish that we waited an hour for, the waiter said, "Did you eat it?". I replied yes, but we waited an hour for it by which time everyone else at the table where finished. I insisted the item be removed, it eventually was with a lot of tattling amongst the waiters looking over their shoulder at me. I again asked in Spanish if there was a problem. I was assured there was no problem. I didn't leave a tip. I did leave and I won't be back. Atmosphere is fine, I mean you are near the beach and can watch the...
Read moreLocation is great, in the city center. In-house parking available. Looks like the rooms are renovated not long ago and they look very nice, clean and are spacious. Staff is in need for a training. We went to the rooftop (bar-breakfast-small swimming pool). There where 2 to 3 waiters/bar men but it took us a lot of effort to get our first drink. We skipped the second one because it took to long (so did paying the check). Having in mind there where only a few guests (maybe 10) of which the most of them where waiting as well. Its important to get organized up there and a staff training is needed very much. Male staff wasn't very friendly (not a single word of hello). Next day during breakfast same problem. About 5 (not so friendly)waiters plus 2 (friendly) female staff where trying to serve breakfast. It wasn't busy but guests had to wait to long. Looking at the hotels you can say it's in good condition, great location but staff is desperate in need for a training. Not only to become more guest friendly by also to make some more money for the hotel. Think they can use the money after/during this...
Read moreMy wife & I booked table no 2, twice this week. On the first occasion, which was our 33rd Wedding Anniversary, we found it occupied and the man in charge said, that although a “reservation card” was filled in, there was nothing in the “reservations book”. We thought “ Oh well mistakes happen, we’ll try again”, so I booked the same table, (no 2), for 7:30pm, for last night Tuesday 26th March 2024. I made sure that it was written in the “reservations book”. It’s not difficult service and the owner/manager would surely not let the same thing happen again. It did. There was only one table occupied, when we arrived and you know which one it was, yes table 2. When I informed the man who appeared to be in charge, he said “it couldn’t be reserved because there is someone at it”. When I pointed to the book and said it’s written in there, he said it doesn’t matter what’s in the book. We left, for the second time in three days and ate at another restaurant. We will not trust them with any service which is this complicated, in future, so only sit outside, when the...
