The alquería it located in the outskirts of Valencia so you need to make an effort to get here (and it's totally worth it). The building is surrounded by beautiful farmland which gives the impression you're visiting a family. Inside you'll find a full restaurant with tables of paelleras showing off the different options available. They have an impressive wine list showcasing the local wines to accompany the broad selection of dishes. I had the tuna salad to start which was served with large tomatoes, capers, red onion, and chilli - it sounds simple but the combination of ingredients was incredible. The paella called "arroz del senyoret" is a seafood paella with deshelled shellfish, the mix of flavours were simple but delicious (perhaps a little too salty) and the dish is accompanied with aioli. Dessert was a fondant au chocolat served with white chocolate sauce and pistachio ice cream. Hacía tiempo que no íbamos al restaurante “Alquería El Brosquil”. Nos hemos decido a ir porque dispone de una terraza cubierta donde corre el aire libre (medidas anti-covid19). Me ha sorprendido mucho su actual calificación de 4,6 / 5 estrellas y con casi 2.000 valoraciones en Google. Impresionante. Todo restaurante con más de 4,5 estrellas y 500 valoraciones ya tienen un valor reconocido. Hoy han dado de nuevo la talla. Como entrantes, unas tellinas, unos calamares y un tomate con ventresca. Las tellinas bien hechas, al punto, no recalentadas y jugosas. Los calamares a la romana como en pocos sitios los hacen. Casi imperceptible crujiente del finísimo rebozado y con la carne del calamar tierna y muy sabrosa. Posiblemente de los mejores calamares a la romana que he probado. El tomate y la ventresca muy bien preparado. Aderezado con alcaparras (un poco saladas), cebolla morada y con piparras dulces troceadas. Buena combinación. Entramos en el plato principal. Paella del Señoret con Rojos. Paella de “dedo” con el centro algo más grueso. El arroz bien hecho (un pelín pasado para mi gusto). El sabor exquisito desde la primera cucharada. Cucharada tras cucharada, ha ido mejorando, como los buenos arroces. De vez en cuanto un chorrito de limón despertaba otro nivel de las papilas gustativas. Los trozos bien seleccionados, gambas, sepia, y mero (creo). El único “pero”… los rojos, secos y salados en exceso, una lástima. Para beber hemos pedido una botella de vino blanco “Perro Verde”, un Verdejo de D.O Rueda. Un clásico para asegurarse. Para rematar, el postre, pedimos siempre postres caseros. En esta ocasión una torrija jugosísima y un coulán de chocolate caliente, ambos con una bola de helado consiguiendo el buen contraste. El precio, justo. This place has the best valencian paella I ever tasted in a restaurant. Very good starters and a wide selection of paellas. It is by far the most valencian style restaurants where I always take all my foreign friends when they come to visit to Valencia.
