I think the chef is missing opportunities with every dish to bring out more exciting flavors. The acidic, salty and spicy components were missing and the different sauces all began to taste the same as the meal progressed. There wasn't a single dish that made me say, wow, this is unique flavor that I haven't tasted before. Everything seems to be played rather safely. Well, it is a hotel restaurant ... but, for 120 Euros for the 8 course meal, I expect a lot more, especially in this proximity to Barcelona. And, the tomatoes served with the first starter weren't ripe and lacked flavor... this time of the year! The steak tartare was good, but lacked a pepper kick. The gnocchi was probably the blandest dish overall ... they just lacked texture and density and the sauce didn't add much flavor. The scallop was perfectly cooked ... but again, the flavors weren't lively ... a little bit of lemon juice, or champagne vinegar to contrast with its sweetness would have elevated this dish. So, overall a disappointment for 120 Euros compared to many restaurants...

Después de una hora en coche, hemos llegado sobre las 21:30 y ya no querían servirnos el menu de degustación porque era tarde, aun que el horario es hasta las 22:30. Los camareros muy amables pero el "Chef" un fracaso total. Parecido a un borracho sin vergüenza que no sabe ni tostar pan. Hemos pedido 8 platos y postre. Cada uno mas desastre que el otro. Un pulpo super duro. Un cordero que se supone que llevaba 14 horas al horno pero era mas seco que el desierto. Un gazpacho agrio de fresa. Atún con wasabi "fresco" que parecía de plastico y sin sabor. Que lastima que los camareros majos tienen que trabajar con un "cocinero" que no tiene nada que ver con la cocina.
Few times in my life have I had such a big disappointment as in this "restaurant". One star because Google does not let me less. After an hour drive, we arrived around 21:30 and they did not want to serve us the tasting menu because it was late, even though the schedule is until 22:30. The waiters were very nice but the "Chef" was a total failure. He looks like a shameless drunk who doesn't even know how to toast bread. We ordered 8 dishes and dessert. Each one more of a disaster than the other. A super hard octopus. A lamb that was supposed to have been in the oven for 14 hours but was drier than the desert. A sour strawberry gazpacho. Tuna with "fresh" wasabi that seemed plastic and tasteless. Too bad the nice waiters have to work with a "cook" who has nothing to do with cooking.

Els cambrers molt amables però el “Xef” un fracàs total. Semblant a un borratxo sense vergonya que no sap ni torrar pa. Hem demanat 8 plats i postres. Cadascú més desastre que l'altre. Un pop super dur. Un xai que se suposa que portava 14 hores al forn però era més sec que el desert. Un gaspatxo agre de maduixa. Tonyina amb wasabi "fresc" que semblava de plàstic i sense sabor. Que fa mal que els cambrers macos han de treballar amb un "cuiner" que no té res a veure...
Read moreWe liked it very much. Stayed there for dinner since we were staying at the hotel for that night, and it was great. As the hotel has it's own market garden and farm, most of the products are self produced. We ordered steak tartar, chicken and paella, and they were delicious (specially the steak tartar). But with the dessert, we ended up astonished. It was a cheesecake and a lemon pie. The taste was indescribable.
The views from our table were amazing, you could see all the forest and valley while having dinner.
Also the staff was really nice.
The only thing to take into account is that it is expensive, all this plus 2 glasses of...
