Casa Goyo — Restaurant in Valverde

Simple local place with very good food. The menu is not extensive, but offering enough options to choose from. We had the chickpeas, the Casa Goyo salad, the chicken croquetas and the filled chicken which was very similar to a cordon bleu. All was very tasty, but the filled chicken stood out and was so delicious. Delicious enough to order a second plate. The chickpeas seemed a bit undercooked, but the sauce was very flavourful and tasty. The service was disappointing. We were 3 people alone in a room, requested a table that wasn't in the way and further from the wine of the door, but they explained those tables are in case 5pax come and then 2 people came in and they sat them there. This place gets really crowded so expect to wait about an hour. The waitress does literally everything from attenting to people, making drinks, taking calls, translating, slicing dessert, and hyping the place up. Shes really nice and energetic!

Ni fu ni fa! Llegamos al restaurante por la recomendación de una amiga pero he de decir que creo q no merece la pena. Probablemente ponerle 3 estrellas es mucho pero quizás es que no era su día y el trato de los empleados fue bastante bueno. Mi experiencia es la siguiente: fui a comer un domingo y después de esperar bastante para sentarme aún teniendo reserva ( esto no fue un problema ) nos dejan sentadas en una de las habitaciones con la carta. Cuando vienen a coger la comanda, después de dejarnos con la carta allí unos 10-12 minutos, nos dicen que no tienen garbazas, ni queso, ni croquetas ni la ensalada de la casa. “¿Qué?” Es un sitio con una carta no muy amplia y ¿te quedas sin comida? No sé si además de eso les faltaba algo más porque fue la secuencia de ponme esto, respuesta:” no me queda” y así hasta que llegamos a pedir lo siguiente: 1 de pan, 1 pechuga rellena 1 de carne fiesta y 2 cervezas. Pues esto fueron 40€. He de decir que encima cobraron 2 de pan! Éramos 2 pero pedí una y nos pusieron un pan con dos botitos pequeños de mojo y alioli ( que estaban buenos pero no para costar 5,6€). Me pareció excesivamente caro la verdad. Luego pasó otra cosa: había un camarero con unos guantes negros y pensé “tendrá alguna herida y lo hace por seguridad alimentaria”. Pero por seguridad alimentaria uno no puede coger el pan, servir, limpiar, etc. sin cambiarse los guantes.
