So today my wallet was taken from this cafe. I left in the bathroom on top of the toilet roll dispenser. I am a Pilgrim and on the camino and have only met amazing pilgrims so once I realised I left it, I called the cafe hoping someone handed it in. Noone picked up the phone.I left a message. Noone called back. I made my way back and into the toilet. It was gone. In my home country it would usually be handed in behind the bar especially on a pilgrimage way. The young man said no it hadn't been left but that they received my message. He made a show of then going into the toilets to check but i would assume he would have done that as soon as he received my message. I asked to speak to the older gentleman who had served us in case someone left it behind the bar. I could see him in the kitchen. I was told by the younger man that he knew nothing about it and so he did not come out to speak to me. It was very odd. The younger man shrugged his shoulders and went back to business. I was more sad that this cafe handled this matter in this way than losing the money and wallet as I shouldn't have forgotten it in the toilet. If anyone finds a furla white purse please contact me.. It was also clear the cafe had no interest, didn't ask for my contact details or let me speak to the man who served me, dudbt chrck behind the bar and said they received my message but then made a show of only then checkng the bathroom. Super odd place....
