We went to this place due to the recommendation of a very nice local man. Upon arrival, the waiter on the ground floor made us wait 10 minutes to sit down while there were 3 tables in his section. When he told us to take a table and we sat down he read us the daily special very quickly. When i asked him to please reread it he became very irritated and said he didn't have time (Since two more tables had come) adding that look how busy he was. We ordered and after 2 minutes he came back with the appetizers and slammed them down on the table. His energy was frenetic and aggressive. Hoy comí allí, había menú a 15€, hoy hemos comido a la carta, un revuelto de hongos q estaba de muerte, la tortilla de bacalao jugosa jugosa, pero el solomillo... Q se puede decir de una carne q es pura mantequilla, perfectamente hecha, un sabor buenísimo, y te ponen un plato caliente de barro para q puedas pasar la carne un poco más si te apetece. Hay una cosa q hay q hacer una mención importante, son los pimientos de cristal asados allí a las brasas (nada de pimiento de invernadero, cuando en Estella no hay pimientos se los traen de Murcia para ellos directamente). Los postres, hemos pedido el hojaldre con crema y chocolate caliente, y goxua. Los dos buenísimos.

El restaurante como establecimiento, arriba un bar con pinchos y un comedor, abajo es una sidrería en bóveda, y el asador con el maestro de las brasas, q lo mismo te explica de donde son esos buenísimos pimientos, la carne , o te habla de diferentes tipos de vinos.

Y por último y no menos importante el super camarero q nos ha atendido, q es muy muy joven, pero después de como nos ha atendido, parece un Metre con mucha experiencia, es amable pero no pesado, te informa sobre lo q le preguntas pero sin pasarse con la explicación, te propone, y además con mucho acierto sobre lo q cree q podría apetecernos mas, de lejos ve si nos falta algo, se acerca te pregunta, y lo soluciona, estaba atento a todo sin hacerse notar ni molestar, es un máquina de camarero de restaurante.

Resumiendo: LA COMIDA , Y SU CARNE A LA BRASA está IMPRESIONANTE, pero EL PERSONAL es justo alabarlo x su amabilidad, y atención, profesionalidad, yo he estado en restaurantes q aunque la comida estaba bien, el camarero no me hizo el rato agradable y no he vuelto.

A very good restaurant on the main pedestrian street of Viana and the same one the "encierro" is run on. The restaurant is mainly downstairs in the cellar with the bar upstairs. It a lot bigger than you first think with 2 main cellars downstairs both of which have a giant barrel keg of cider, which is free and you then serve yourself as often as you wish.
