La Bandideta — Restaurant in Xàbia / Jávea

An establishment located right in front of the beach. This is probably the reason why they can afford to be so rude to their customers. Customers line up in front. Especially the lady dispatching the tables. Not only does she dispatch to the tables but she also does the service at the table, prepares the drinks at the bar. She is therefore both everywhere and nowhere, an ineffective result. Several tables remain unoccupied which generates frustration for customers waiting at the entrance their turn. Generating a loss of income for the establishment but given the prices charged, they will compensate. The two young ladies who seem to have the most experience are also the two least pleasant of the patrol of about 7 young waiters. With them, you really feel that you are not welcome in their restaurant. The toilets were clean despite the crowds, so that's a positive point. The food portions are small and the taste average. Considering the small amount of food served, the prices are expensive (avoid, for example, pizza). As consolation, you are sitting in front of the beach which is a few meters away. In terms of infrastructure, this restaurant has everything to be a pearl but the service really leaves you with such a bad...

Worst Restaurant I’ve ever been too. Surprised they didn’t spit in my food. The waitresses are building the most unfriendly and cold staff I ever talked to. They are super slow and don’t speak at all.

The food was a 1/5 - my air fryer is making better fries. We ordered patatas bravas and got fries. :) With a very nasty aioli. 100 % not homemade.

Also the “salad” with avocado and strawberries was literally a small bowl with supermarket guacamole, 3 salad leaves and 2 slices of a tiny strawberry. Called “salad”. Never saw a salad that bad before.

Also it’s expensive af for what you’re getting. Would pay a lot of money for the view, but that food? Never ever again. 🥲 Hopefully I don’t get food poisoning. Will update on that.

The only reason I’m not giving 0 stars is the location itself. But that’s not their achievement, so tbh I would give 0 stars.

Very big disappointment. Would not recommend at all.

Best advice: Take some lunch with you when visiting the beach and avoid this...

Read the reviews, but still went in but with our eyes wide open (as there were no other alternatives than a restaraunt). Knowing the 'bar' was set very low, I was surprised they still couldn't hit it. We opted for 3x lasagne bolognese as that seemed the 'safest' option, but 2x meals came out together and were cold in the middle, and the grated cheese on top was unique... never in our days have we tasted cardboard lasagne and stale cheese that snaps if you bend it. The first 2x meals were eaten before the 3rd arrived and when it DID arrive it needn't have bothered. It was a fraction of the size of the other two and crusty all around - I was literally hitting it with a fork and not even making a dent. This was returned to them for refund and the staff looked completey unphased... SO if crusty cold impenetrable lasagne is your thing - complete with service WITHOUT a smile then this place is for you. It's one of a kind,...
