Restaurante Club de Golf Jávea — Restaurant in Xàbia / Jávea

We went for my birthday lunch today, everything would have been perfect apart from the Spanish waiter I am afraid. We went to the terrace and shared a bottle of wine was which was quite good. We then went to the restaurant and asked for the menu, we were told 'I am the menu' would you like, fish, chicken or beef? We chose fish, we asked for mussels for starter, just with white wine and garlic, it came with a chilli and tomato sauce, which was quite nice. I had used my serviette with the mussels which was not replaced, any good waiter should have noticed this and given me a new one. The main course we found on Google translate was Scorpion fish!! Not something we would have chosen had we been given a menu which Incidentally, other diners were given. We would like to go back but would Insist next time to be given a menu....

This is an excellent golf club restaurant. The food was really quite excellent. Went on a Saturday and it was quiet. Our group was large and the menu was a choice of two lunch menu options.. we opted for neither and proceeded with some recommended entrees for the table which consisted of timbre salad, eel garlic plate, squid and some type of croquet balls. All excellent. Then we all chose individual main dishes. My duck was exquisite and a perfect proportion. All the dishes came out at the same time hot and excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a lunch. Even if you are not a member of the golf club....

We visited this restaurant with our family. The A.C was a big factor as it was very hot outside and my daughter was 7 month pregnant. The place is clean and there are plenty of staff so you don't have to look around for attention for too long. The food was fresh and we all agreed excellent value for money. A positive experience and we will be back for future meals. So much nicer than fighting through all the tourists for over rated, over expensive sub standard food in so many other places. Definitely...
