Disappointing. Really lovely setting but the experience we had and food didn't match the views. It was a warm welcome and although we were trying to speak Spanish they accommodated in talking English which was kind of them. The balcony area was full so we were sat inside which was quieter. We were tucked in the corner of an almost empty room a way from the windows with views. We ordered a paella. Which took some time, but we didnt mind. When it came it was dry, burnt and rice under cooked. I would say however the fish and chicken was very well cooked and tasty. When we complained about the rice being underboiled and burnt they said thats how the Spainish like it. During the long wait and even when eating we were never asked if we wanted more drinks, if the food was good etc. Waited a long time for the table to be cleared and get the check. We ended up walking to the till to pay as we didn't want to wait any longer. The restaurant wasnt busy at this time. Just got a bit of a anti tourist vibe from our experience which is a great shame. For around €25 per person for a shared burnt paella we left feeling very...

This restaurant offers a unique setting - especially at sunset the views of the sea, the mountains and the salinas are wonderful. There is a terrace but the inside room is also nicely appointed and with large windows. In terms of food, it was good though not as exceptional as I was expecting given some reviews and given the higher than average prices in the island. The best dish was a starter of ceviche of corvina (drum fish), zingy and fresh and just perfect. A paella was definitely good and I ate it to the last grain of rice, but far from the best I have tried both in terms of depth of flavour and of texture. Desserts - one a variation on the classic bienmesabe and the other local strawberries with a white cream that was unexpectedly described as "sabayon" - were also pleasant. Service was very friendly, jovial and efficient. In sum, prices are a bit too high in my opinion in relation to quality, but quality is good and you can have a nice meal here even if not the very top in the area, enjoying the...

Very good service and a nice place.

Rice with shrimps While the combination of rice and shrimp offered a unique blend of flavors, the dish fell short in terms of achieving a harmonious balance between the two elements. The shrimp's texture seemed slightly overcooked, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Giant shrimps - surprisingly empty inside. Too much fat and the subtle adjustments to the preparation could potentially enhance the dish's appeal.

Fish The fish was carelessly presented and poorly seasoned, leaving the dish's overall taste underwhelming. The absence of lemon, a key element in enhancing the flavor profile, was quite noticeable and contributed to the dish's lackluster appeal. It's apparent that the chef missed the opportunity to elevate the dish with proper seasoning and accompaniments.

3.Desert Tiramisu - 2 or 3 days old....

After exploring the nearby salt mines, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. It’s a bit of a trek without a car, but the bus ride from Matagorda is a breeze (we got a taxi back €40). The staff were super friendly and could switch between Spanish, French, English, and German with ease. We started with a refreshing cold starter of burrata, tomatoes, and wahoo, and a hearty hot starter of grilled smoked cheese with gofio and prickly pear jam. Both were scrumptious! For the main course, we indulged in a flavorful vegetable risotto and a delicious fish of the day served on a bed of creamy mash and a tasty ratatouille. And to end our meal on a sweet note, we shared a lemon pie that was the perfect balance of sweet and tart, and a refreshing barraquito. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for some amazing local cuisine!

This was for us one of two best restaurant where we eat in or stay in lanzarote. Restaurant is really nice with beautiful view. Staff is really friendly and know them job on top level. We been offered special what was fresh fish for two. They brought for us tray with more kinds of fresh fish to choose from. When we choose one they took back in kitchen and prepared for us. They bring it back and debone and serve front of us. Unfortunately I didn’t video, anyway was looking amazing. Fish was served with salad from fresh veggie with vinaigrette and baby potatoes. Fish was really delicious and melting in my mouth. This meal was right on money. We payed 45€ with drinks what I think was cheap for meal like we get. I absolutely recommending Maridor de las Salinas to everyone who like good prepared food.
