What people who comment do not realize is that they are guests. To this continent, country, village, culture. How much Spanish or better Basque have you learned at home? Have you lived in a village without a supermarket or work options?

Read moreArrived at this restaurant at 7.30 on a Saturday and apparently the kitchen was closed yet locals seemed to be eating. We asked for change from a 20 euro note in order to purchase food from a vending machine at our hotel but the staff refused even though we could see the coins in the till. Staff were either incredibly rude or incredibly drunk. They are very much the anti-Camino as we haven’t experienced anything like this on our pilgrimage....
