My wife, a friend from the UK and I, decided to visit the chippy after having a few beers in La Alfoquia.
We arrived at 9.30 pm and we were advised that they closed at 10 pm by a lovely young lady (daughter of the owner) sorry I've forgotten names.
We found a seat around a table in the rear and ordered our fish and chips and a round of drinks.
When the food came, it had all been freshly prepared and cooked and I've got to say we were all sat saying how amazing the beer batter on the fish was, it was so crispy and the fish tasted absolutely incredible π² as were the chips too.
I can honestly say, I've never tasted fish and chips as tasty as the ones π we had last night. The owner was asked to come out and we told her just how much we enjoyed it and thanked her for her friendly welcome, she even stopped to chat for a little while and didn't shoo us out, even though it had gone 10 pm.
We thoroughly recommend you visit if in the area and try the fish and chips and apparently the home made pies are to die for.
Thank you very much to everyone at the chippy and we'll be seeing you all again...

The chips were a little soggy but at least you could eat them, please change the batter so its crisp and brown then it would be fab. Having not visited for over a year, decided to go back after hearing new people took over. WELL what a difference the fish and chips were amazing. The fish batter was lovely and brown and crispy the service from the lovely woman was fabulous and friendly, she even lit a citronella candle and put it on our table when she saw a fly was annoying us. Fabulous highly recommend a visit. Well done guys and they even open at appropriate...
Β Β Β Read moreThe first time we went, the food was delicious. Crispy batter, crispy chips.. 2nd time we went, approx 8 months later, as it's not local to us, the batter was soggy..and the chips were limp and greasy, and also soggy. Couldn't eat any of it, despite being really hungry at the time. Doubt there will be a 3rd visit, as a result. Shame, as first time was truly excellent. I dont know if they have changed their cooking oil or something since, but it was a world away from our first visit. Having said that, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was very cheery and prompt. We had takeaway on both occasions due to having dogs with us, and we were on our way home from a...
