Upon entering, I was greeted by a soothing sea breeze and an ambiance that perfectly complements the coastal location. The sound of the waves combined with the warm, welcoming interior created a serene atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable meal.

What truly sets Galu Bojuna apart is their innovative "Kulla" concept, which they flawlessly executed during my visit. The Kulla, a generous portion of rice meant to serve five people, was a delightful ensemble of flavors and textures. What a great bunch. We actually didn't have dinner here, but spotted a dessert that we had been looking for that is super hard to get in one of the photos someone posted online. So we chanced our arms and went there to see if they had it.

They didn't do this dessert any more unfortunately, but said if we would like it, they would make some for us to have the next day if we would like, and so went out of their way to make them especially for us for the next morning. And it cost almost nothing so it's not like they were making loads of money from doing it. I honestly can't think of a time a place has gone so far out of their way. We had a delicious lunch here. We ordered Fish Rice & Curry and Egg Cheese Kottu. Both dishes were delectable & wholesome. It seems like a sweet little family run restaurant so they're still learning the ropes but the food more than made up for it.

The rustic ambiance with outdoor seating overlooking the sea adds to the experience.

The best part is that it's the most value for money restaurant in the whole Galle fort area. The 6 of us had a very filling lunch for a very reasonable price.
