It’s not decorated or anything but it does have the best location in the area. Beautiful views, no matter where you are seated. The food was very fast and good, especially the mango juice- wow! It’s mango in a glass. Literally. The owner was really nice, friendly and always smiling. Decoration and nice light can be quiet expensive in Sri Lanka (that’s what he told me) so don’t let yourself be putt off by the simple design. This is a must go if you are traveling through Sri Lanka. Tangalle has a lot of 'secret beaches' that are hidden from the main road, yet easily reachable by small side roads. Crab House Beach Restaurant offers delicious food and kind service. It is a family business and they will provide you with all you can possibly want. The view of the beach is just perfect. A little paradise. For me it is the best place in Sri Lanka, but hey...who am I. Check it...

Excellent place. Right on the beach. Nice coffee and friendly staff. The restaurant serves a variety of good quality seafood and is open from 8am to 10pm. It was nice to take a swim and then just relax watching the beautiful view over the sea. Thank you to Manoj, the owner, and his main man, Kasun, for looking after me.
