I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cuisine Colombo in Pelawatta, and I must say, it was an exceptional culinary experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance, coupled with friendly and attentive staff.
Cuisine Colombo specializes in Sri Lankan cuisine, and they truly showcase the rich flavors and traditional dishes of the country. The menu was extensive, offering a wide range of options, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
To start, I ordered the traditional Sri Lankan appetizer, "Mutton Rolls." These crispy and flavorful rolls were packed with well-seasoned minced mutton and served with a tangy dipping sauce. It was a fantastic way to kick off the meal.
For the main course, I opted for the "Kottu Roti." This classic Sri Lankan dish consists of chopped roti, stir-fried with vegetables, and your choice of protein. I chose the chicken option, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were robust, and the dish had the perfect balance of spices. The portion size was generous, and it left me feeling satisfied.
The service at Cuisine Colombo was commendable. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to our needs, and ensured that we had a pleasant dining experience throughout the evening. The wait time for our food was reasonable, and the dishes were served piping hot.
Another highlight of Cuisine Colombo was the ambiance. The restaurant had a modern yet cozy interior, with comfortable seating arrangements. The dim lighting and soft background music created a relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a romantic dinner or a casual gathering with friends.
Lastly, I would like to mention that the pricing at Cuisine Colombo was reasonable considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. The portions were generous, and the prices were in line with similar establishments in the area.
In conclusion, Cuisine Colombo in Pelawatta is a fantastic restaurant that offers an authentic and delightful Sri Lankan dining experience. The flavors are rich, the staff is attentive, and the ambiance is inviting. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you're a fan of Sri Lankan cuisine or if you're looking to explore the vibrant flavors...
Read moreCame for late lunch and we were the only people there.
We had a watermelon juice and a Berry Mojito, both of which were refreshing and nice.
We shared a hot butter cuttlefish starter, which was a good size portion but the taste was not good; some pieces were rubbery, other pieces were dry and tasted odd. We left most of it; frankly we discussed leaving and going somewhere else but we stayed and were glad that we did.
The main courses we had were fish and chips and chicken cordon bleu. The fish tasted good and fresh, nicely battered and served with tartar sauce. The chicken cordon blue was tasty and with nice fries and a delicious side salad. We ate all but a handful of fries, and finished off sharing an ice cream.
The lady serving us was pleasant, very apologetic that we didn't like the HBC and without us asking they removed the cost of the starter from the bill.
So overall we enjoyed it, would come back but would take a different...

I don't know why there is no people but the food and customer service is really good. And the place is good. You can go shopping around the town and go there to eat something because that is what me and my sister did. So price was normal. I ordered a cheese and ham kottu and coke as beverage. The cost was 1950 and the kottu was enough for two people. And the cheese is so amazing I loved the kottu I ate there. It was good to know that there is a trusted place around there. And definitely go there back again with my friends or my family. This place is little bit small enough for like 18 ppl fit in there. I hope you guys will make the place bit bigger later.
