Bruna Dörren — Restaurant in Gotland Municipality

This is the main place in Ljugarn for a fun get together with live music and cosy bar atmosphere. It is funky place with room for children to play with a bunch of toys, cool artsy decorations and blankets for everyone to go around on a chilly afternoon.

Come here for potatoes and the atmosphere, nothing else. They specialize in potatoes, which is amazing. The rest of the food is meh. We had burgers and ordered medium rare, this request was not delivered. The overall burger was just decent but nothing else.

The staff mostly consist of young and perhaps inexperienced seasonal workers. There were a few confusions with regarding our order but they were resolved with big smiles from the staffers!

Nothing special from the selection of wines but they have a huge selection of beer. Live music started from 21:00, great and humorous local...

The service was more focused in talking to each other than to serve icecream (we were around 7 people standing on queue). We sat in the outdoor room inside and there was some birds eating the food left on a table, while the personal walked around and didn’t fix it. We got to know that you have to leave the dishes and throw the food after you’re done, which we dont think it’s that good thinking you spend over 500sek to get a good service. The theme of the bar is refreshing and relaxing which I liked, and the food tasted good. I would recommend to put the icecream cones inside so they don’t taste stale. I would come again but gladly if they hire older people that is more focused on their job instead...

We have been here for two years in a row. Really great experience in every way. Awesome food and really good local beers från Ljugarns Brygghus . The atmosphere is something else! Not like any other place I have been. Last year we were here at a live music-night, wich was really good. We live 530 km from here, but it might not be the last time we come to this place. Also, for vanlifers and other people in mobile homes, there is a free parking space right across the street from here, with only a few meters...
