Maries Kök — Restaurant in Hudiksvalls kommun

This is one of those places I'd expect to see on a food travel show. They specialize in 4 cuisines. Lebanese, Mexican, Italian, and Swedish. We had the pleasure of trying the beyond delicious Lebanese Mezze platter and an amazing Spaghetti all’assassina. Unfortunately, the pasta looked and smelled too good so we accidentally forgot to take a photo and ate every last bite of it before realizing what we'd done. We thought we knew what good Lebanese food "should" taste like, having tried most of the popular restaurants back home in Stockholm. Marie and Lasse changed that big time. I don't think I could go back to other Lebanese restaurants after this experience. Each mezze dish had details and touches that brought them to an eye-popping level, and Marie was happy to share their secrets. From going as far as shelling the chickpeas to make the most amazingly smooth and creamy hummus, to the labourful process of building the punch-packing flavour of the spaghetti all'assassina. Just ask her! They even gave a tour of their fresh herb garden, several of which were in the dishes. I could go on and on about how good the food was in our experience, but if you have the chance, just go there... try it... I'll be coming back here to read other people's reviews to reminisce on what I'm missing until the next chance we...

Absolutely delicious little pasta restaurant! We were so warmly welcomed by Marie and her partner on our drive home from Åre to Stockholm and had the most delicious fresh risotto with hand picked mushrooms and a simply perfect lasagna! We will be saving this hidden gem for the future !...

Ich würde gerne deutlich mehr als 5 Sterne geben, wenn das möglich wäre. Maries Kök ist ein Kleinod, dass deutlich mehr bietet, als das hervorragende Essen. Marie und ihr Mann haben uns so herzlich empfangen und uns einen so wunderschönen Abend in ihrer kleinen gemütlich eingerichteten „Garage“ bereitet, dass wir auf unserer Durchreise durch Hudiksvall am nächsten Tag gleich noch einmal dort gegessen haben. Wir haben viele gute Restaurants in Hamburg, aber noch nirgendwo einen Platz wie diesen gefunden.
