Texas Longhorn — Restaurant in Malmö kommun

We've been very disappointed with the service in this restaurant, the food was good though. It all started with three waiters ignoring us while we were waiting to be seated. When two other guests passed by and chose a table themselves, one of the waiters suddenly paid attention and followed them immediately to their table, with us still standing there waiting. We then left to check for an alternative, but returned to the restaurant and also chose a table ourselves. The waitress served all new tables except ours, so I gave her a clear signal and she finally came to provide us with the menu card. When I told her that it seemed to us we were invisible to her she said we should have asked to be seated - how ironic. Me and my wife asked if the meat patty on the burger was well done (as my wife is pregnant and should therefore not eat any rare/medium meat). The waitress said the burger pattys are all well done, so we both ordered a burger. The food was prepared in a timely manner, and we started eating until my wife noticed half of her patty was still medium rather than well done. When we told the waitress she just said it was the kitchen's mistake and disappeared. No offer of putting it back on the grill, no refund/rebate, nothing.

If you want good food but terrible service, you can certainly eat here as the burgers are great. But if you'd like to have a great experience, better look out for...

From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed by an extremely friendly waiter who spoke perfect English and immediately offered us a great outdoor table. The food arrived surprisingly fast, and they even provide complimentary tap water with ice – a small detail, but really appreciated!

And speaking of excellent: the food was absolutely incredible, even for someone like me who doesn’t eat meat that often. The spare ribs were perfectly marinated and cooked just right. There were also a variety of sauces available to add even more flavor. The sides were just as impressive – the corn came with a delicious buttery coating, and the coleslaw had a really tasty dressing that made it stand out from the usual.

The atmosphere outside was lovely – with blankets and heat lamps available to keep everyone comfortable. The waiter was by far the friendliest and coolest person we met during our one-day trip to Malmö. He even checked in to make sure everything was to our liking, which was a very nice touch. Inside, the decor followed a Wild West theme that added charm to the whole experience, and the restroom was clean, which is always a plus. I had no expectations from Texas Longhorn when I entered, but I left with a positive experience richer.

There was just one waiter and my family when we arrived. I expected the service to be good and so it was. The waiter felt genuine with his service throughout our stay. More customers arrived as the time went on, but the lonely waiter did not deteriorate one bit. Two thumbs there.

So what about the food. We started off with homemade nachos and they tasted a little bit different in a very good way. Usually you will get nachos that's either too salted or too artifically flavored. Ours were perfect in every way, warm, crispy with neutral flavor. The dip you order is what will decide the flavor for you. My main course (Bacon wrapped tenderloin) was delicious to say the least. I ordered it medium rare, which stayed that way even until I got it served. Rich and grilled flavor that completely gave my taste buds a moment of euphoria. I could eat this all day long and probably never get tired of it.
