Restaurang Tatung — Restaurant in Skellefteå kommun

I went with two friends to Tatung last Thursday. The entrance was somewhat hidden, located next to the clothes store window display, with "Tatung Restaurant" written near the door. After entering, you need to use the stairs to go to the second floor, where you'll find Tatung Restaurant with red lantern decorations. The window views are nice, offering sights of Skellefteå centrum or Sara Kulturhus/Library, depending on where you sit.

When we arrived, the waitress gave us the menu, but we had to go to the cashier to order. If possible, order in Swedish, as their English is limited. Ordering in Swedish seemed to improve their attentiveness and hospitality. We ordered Peking duck, fried beef with vegetables, and Bami Goreng (fried noodles) to share among the three of us. Our top choice was the Peking duck. The sweet and sour gravy was delicious. Although the duck portions were small, the meat was nicely fried with batter.

For dessert, we ordered fried banana with ice cream, strawberry cheesecake with ice cream, and chocolate cake with mango and vanilla ice cream. The dessert presentation was very nice, and the portions were large. While desserts may not be their specialty, they were acceptable.

Ok jag fick parkeringsböter men jag ska inte låta det gå ut över restaurangen hehe. Tataung, vi hade reserverat ett bord för 11 personer, jag hade ingen aning om vad jag skulle förvänta mig. Vid ankomst kunde jag konstatera att på en lördag var det mycket populärt, nästan fullsatt. Jag blev ganska snabbt visad till mitt bord. När alla kommit tog servitören beställningen, servitören var mycket hjälpsam och förklarade maten och i mitt fall den mongolska buffe'n. När vi plockan ihop maten var de duktiga på att leverera maten hyffsat samtidigt, inte för lång väntetid. Allihop var mycket nöjd med maten.
