There are two floors to visit. First floor was dedicated to a clothing exhibition at the time I visited the museum. And there was a small room with Christmas decorations that you can also see in the pictures. It was really cosy and lovely. The second floor is dedicated to Skellefteå culture and history and became my favourite part during my visit. I spent most of my time in this section. They divided rooms in alignment with year periods such as 1300-1520, 1520-1750 and so on so forth. Each room is setup accordingly and filled with relevant sounds or music which really creates a good harmonic experience and good ambience in my humble opinion.

In my opinion a must if you visit this gem of a museum. I've visited museums around the world and can tell you this is top class. Everything is also in English and Swedish....

Storsia en intressant utställning om bygdens historia. Personligen finner jag att det fattas viktiga delar av den moderna historieskrivningen då t.ex arbetarrörelsen, eller för den delen politiska partier i en så utpräglad industristad med långvarig socialdemokratisk dominans endast nämns i förbifarten.
