Standout Coffee — Restaurant in Stockholm

My experience with Standout Coffee was deeply disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish.

Here’s the full timeline of what happened:

September 1: I placed order #17391, paid in full, and received an invoice confirmation immediately.

September 14: After nearly two weeks with no tracking number or shipping confirmation, I contacted Standout Coffee myself. Only then did they admit they had completely missed my order due to a postal code issue — something I had to correct on my own.

September 15: I finally received a shipping confirmation.

September 18–19: DHL showed the package leaving Sweden and arriving in Frankfurt, where it then got stuck indefinitely. It has not moved since.

Over the next few weeks (October 6, 7, 11, and 15), I sent several follow-up emails — all ignored.

October 18: Oskar from the team finally replied, asking me to confirm my address and whether I preferred a refund or replacement.

October 19: I confirmed I wanted to receive the coffee itself, since I genuinely wanted to try it. Oskar then wrote that a new batch would be shipped on Monday, October 20.

However, after that, I heard nothing again. My follow-up emails on October 21 and 22 went unanswered — once more, no tracking, no confirmation, no communication.

After weeks of silence and repeated emails, I finally received a refund today, but only after having to chase the company multiple times and detail every stage of the issue myself.

While I did eventually get my money back, the overall experience was extremely poor — marked by missed follow-ups, unresponsiveness, and a lack of professionalism.

For a company positioning itself as a premium coffee roaster, this kind of service is completely unacceptable. Regardless of the refund, I will never order from Standout Coffee again, and I want to make sure other customers are aware of how badly this order was handled.

Over the last few years I have had many high quality coffee beans from various rosters from across the world and I can say Standout definitely "stands out" to me, in a positive way ofcourse.

Their subscription service for competition grade coffee is the best subscription service I have tried as the coffee beans there are a little bit out of the ordinary and therefore produce some amazing flavours. I was especially impressed with "Diego Bermudez 720 hour thermal shock gesha".

Absolutely amazing coffee!!! I subscribed to their monthly competition subscription about a year ago, and I have been overjoyed every month with the selection. The coffees that stand out offers are far superior to anything else I have ever tasted. I really appreciate their excellence and their expertise. It should be noted that their subscription coffee comes shipped in the most beautiful presentation! The only thing that I would like to see more of are the cool stickers, but that doesn’t take away from everything else they do...
