Little Italy Appenzell — Restaurant in Appenzell

The best pizza we have ever had in our lives. From all the ‘amazing’ Italian we have eaten over the years- this is a stand out. Whenever and wherever we are in Europe- we will drive to this restaurant. We once drove 6 hours from Germany just to have dinner here.

The service is friendly, genuine and unpretentious. The ambiance and decor is average, but you’re in the alpine region, so you don’t really notice- nobody can compete with the mountains.

So glad we found this unsuspecting place. Thanks so much for existing- from a couple of food snobs...

Food was a 10 but service was a 0. We waited about a hour for our dinner and then the waitress comes by and asks if we would like any coffee. They forgot to put our meals in. As we are waiting for our food we notice the waitress as been sitting with another couple drinking and smoking while we just sat there.
