Frohsinn — Restaurant in Arbon

we arrived and found an entrance from the car park into the rear of the hotel, being a Sunday this place was closed! They were expecting us so someone was waiting, we had a simple room on the first floor and it was pretty good.||||The room was quiet modern and the bathroom was nice, my headboard was very loose(someone had a great night) which rocked if you caught it. ||||seeing as the food was not an option we headed down to Arbon & Lake Constance. there were lots of options down at the lake front to get some food, the lake was a decent 15mins walk from the hotel||||breakfast was pretty good, had plenty of options, you did have to cook your own eggs in a boiler which seemed a bit odd but I suppose you could get this started as soon as you got down for breakfast.||||the price was pretty Swiss so it felt a lot of money for what you got, however this was one of the more reasonable priced places, I would have liked to have tried the food as it looked great and being a brewery I bet the...

My wife and I spent a night at the Frohsinn as a part of our bicycle journey around Lake Constance. It's what you dream you'd see when you come to Switzerland: a centuries old half-timbered building that has been completely modernized. Its terraced restaurant was a delight, as we dined in shade under a canopy of beech trees. Our meal was first class and my wife's vegetarian needs were met. In fact, it was her favorite meal of our week-long stay as we rode around the beautiful lake. Apparently, there's a beer hall and brewery underneath the hotel. It was closed during our visit. The hotel's staff was most welcoming, especially the out-going owner, a lady who seemed to have her finger on all of the important things, including checking in on her guests.
