It's what you dream you'd see when you come to Switzerland: a centuries old half-timbered building that has been completely modernized. Its terraced restaurant was a delight, as we dined in shade under a canopy of beech trees. Our meal was first class and my wife's vegetarian needs were met. In fact, it was her favorite meal of our week-long stay as we rode around the beautiful lake. Apparently, there's a beer hall and brewery underneath the hotel. It was closed during our visit. The hotel's staff was most welcoming, especially the out-going owner, a lady who seemed to have her finger on all of the important things, including checking in on her guests.
