We came for a weekend, and had a great time. We were two adults, two 11-12 year olds, and two 4-year olds, and all liked our stay. It is a low price family place, so don't expect modern facilities, or chick design. It is a "gasthaus", and has toilet/shower in the hall, bunk beds, and rooms that perhaps are not really exciting. Importantly it is clean. But the reason to go here is to be outside: skiing or hiking, so who cares if the rooms are somewhat outdated? True you can hear the lift starting 8:00 in one end of the house, but most people who go there will not sleep past 8:00 anyway.||We had half-board; breakfast was good (typical Swiss stuff; bread, cheese, meat), and for dinner it was 3 courses. Dinner had a set menu but hey, we liked all of it, although we probably would not have ordered it if we had a choice (some Swiss dishes). By the way: there are really no alternative places to eat, unless you take the lift down.||The prices were very reasonable - if you subtract the value of the lift card, and the food (at Swiss mountain prices), we paid less than 30 per night for the room per person. We will definitely go there again. It is also nice driving there, since you just drive to the free parking lot at the bottom, and avoid the usual curvy icy road the last...

Read moreI recently had a truly disappointing experience at the restaurant. I was really looking forward to a nice meal, but from the moment we sat down, things started going downhill. The food was terrible—completely lacking in flavor and seemed like it had been sitting out for hours. Honestly, it felt like no effort was put into any of the dishes.
To make matters worse, when I tried to express my concerns to the manager, they were incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of offering to fix the issue, they acted like it was my fault for expecting better food. I understand that mistakes happen, but the attitude of the manager was completely unacceptable.
I won’t be coming back and certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are far better options out there where both the food and the service are actually...
