Ristorante Pizzeria Settebello Napoletana — Restaurant in Bern

We arrived after a wander after 8pm and found a warm welcome. Waitress didn't speak much English and we don't speak much German but with my poor school-level Italian we ended up meeting in the middle .. The place seemed quiet but not in a bad way really. A neighbourhood spot in a residential area. The proprietor is a lovely Albanian man who explained to us the Swiss concept of a smoking room and kept us company the whole time we were smoking. Soon enough our waitress was beckoning us and we sat down to delicious zuppa de pomodoro and classic hearty minestrone. We had pizza to follow. I had the house special with ham and artichoke. The crust was folded into a star shape which looked very pretty but also made it much easier to tear and eat. Great idea! After a few steins of beer we said our goodbyes and departed into the night.

Even though it was late, a huge 15-plus party came in and the staff all set to looking after then without batting an eyelid. .

Ich war mittlerweile mehrfach im Setebello essen und bin jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Für mich gibt es dort die beste Pizza in ganz Bern. Der Teig ist wunderbar luftig und gleichzeitig schön knusprig, die Zutaten sind frisch und geschmackvoll, und die Pizzas werden mit viel Sorgfalt zubereitet. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit echter Leidenschaft gekocht wird.

Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Für die gebotene Qualität sind die Preise mehr als fair, was das Setebello zu einer hervorragenden Wahl für alle macht, die gutes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen schätzen.

Seit der neue Pächter das Ruder übernommen hat, hat sich das Restaurant spürbar weiterentwickelt. Die Atmosphäre ist herzlich, der Service aufmerksam und freundlich, und man fühlt sich von Anfang an willkommen. Es ist ein Ort, an dem man sich gerne aufhält – sei es für ein entspanntes Abendessen mit Freunden oder einen schnellen Lunch.

Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch und kann das Setebello mit voller Überzeugung weiterempfehlen. Wer Pizza liebt, sollte sich dieses Restaurant auf keinen Fall...

Un’esperienza assolutamente deludente sotto ogni punto di vista. Avevamo prenotato per le 17:00, ma al nostro arrivo il locale era completamente chiuso, nonostante gli orari indicassero un’apertura dalle 8:30. Tutto era buio e deserto, e solo dopo numerose telefonate qualcuno si è degnato di arrivare.

Il servizio è stato a dir poco scortese e disorganizzato. Abbiamo dovuto attendere tempi interminabili per il nostro ordine, e persino la carta dei vini ci è stata negata con la giustificazione che la scelta fosse limitata. La pizza è arrivata fredda e i tempi di servizio al tavolo erano inaccettabili: alcuni avevano già terminato di mangiare mentre altri aspettavano ancora il loro piatto.

La situazione è culminata con un episodio imbarazzante: la cameriera, visibilmente sgarbata per tutta la serata, ha avuto il coraggio di accusarci di non aver saldato il conto, quando invece tutto era stato pagato correttamente. In un locale ben gestito, un errore del genere non dovrebbe mai accadere.
