We were pleased with our stay at the Pension Albrun. The rate was quite decent for Swiss standards, the room was no-frills (it's a pension, not a hotel) but clean, beds were comfortable (no issue with length, and I'm 186 cm tall) and we had a balcony overlooking the river and the village. The bathroom was one-piece prefabricated and was very very small, with a tiny sink, but clean, and good shower pressure. The dinner was a pleasant surprise: three courses of well-prepared good quality food for a quite decent price (35 CHF). Breakfast was quite nice too, among others there were four delicious artisanal jams to choose from, and good bread. The other options in Binn are Hotel Ofenhorn (more expensive, and reviews not unanimously good) and the restaurant Zur Brücke also offers rooms at 45 CHF per night but we have...
Read moreStayed for two nights. Lovely old building in a picture-perfect high-alpine village. Pleasant room although ours (on the top floor under the eaves) had a microscopic shower. Excellent, as in really excellent, food. Friendly service... except for the owner who was fairly severe (e.g., no help with laundry, confiscating a slice of bread a friend wanted to take with him from breakfast): had she been a little more helpful and generous, I'd have given the place a top rating despite the micro-shower... often times it is the little things that make the difference between a good and a great experience. I'd definitely eat there again, but I might try out the other hotel in the village for accommodation (although this is not to be construed as a recommendation... I haven't...
