Le Parfum d'Asie — Restaurant in Chêne-Bourg

A MUST for good Chinese food. I never EVER write reviews, something has to be terrible or extraordinary to deserve it. This restaurant, I'm pleases to say is the latter :) We just moved to Geneva and having no food in our new house we decided to eat out, after a little looking online for a good place to eat I decided to give Le Parfume d'Asie a try, despite it being all the way across the city (in a neighborhood I was uncertain about). We were WELL rewarded. Everything we had was delicious (at typical Chinese food prices). We had the Vietnamese style spring-rolls and they were the best I have had since 2004 (I remember the exact trip I was on when I had them with my older sister) I was astounded, it was like tasting a memory. The main dishes and chef's special dumplings were also very good.

All of this is to say nothing of the very kind hostess (owner?) she took our order with a very big (and genuine) smile and was very friendly and good to talk to. Her young daughter (8-10 y.o. maybe) was around as well, curiously hanging out in the background, and helped out with bringing fresh plates and things, much to her own satisfaction and the cautious yet glowing approval from mum.

Overall it was great, and despite being across the city in a more residential than commercial neighborhood, we will MOST...

Nous avons pris le menu pékinois... que dire...la soupe avait beaucoup le goût de vinaigre, les "boulettes" vapeur étaient acceptables en revanche le plat était tiède... le canard trop cuit la panure très épaisse très cuite et imbibée d'huile la sauce était froide (paraît que ça se sert comme ça... ah bon) les crevettes... plus d'oignons que de crevettes et le tout dans un bain d'huile. Et la cerise sur le gâteau est le dessert... beignet à la banane remplacé par beignet ananas... sauce miel et le beignet avait le goût de viande pour ne pas dire goût canard au final 112fr à 2 avec les boissons c'est très cher pour ce que nous avons eu d'autant que les quantités étaient très petites... Autant aller en France voisine dans les fast food asiatiques ils sont moins cher mais nettement meilleurs en qualité par rapport à notre...

as i was craving for rice..we eat here lunch time and suprised we are the only clients... Anyway the food was fine actually.. but the look of the restaurant really...
