The Balfego Tuna Tartare with mango, kalamansi, dill, and roasted peanuts was an absolute standout—presentation: 10/10, flavor: a mind-blowing 12/10! Everyone in our group agreed it was some of the best tuna they’d ever had. Next was the Duck Liver Terrine paired with edge, rhubarb, and yuzu-infused beet puree. While I loved it (presentation: 10/10, flavor: 9/10), opinions varied a bit among my friends, which added to the fun! The White Asparagus with morel, peas, hazelnut, and brown butter crystals was a showstopper. The presentation surprised us all (11/10), and the flavor was a delightful 9.5/10—arguably the best vegetarian dish I’ve ever tasted! For the main course, the Guinea Fowl with fowl pâté, baked carrot, wild broccoli, and black garlic was delectable. With a thoughtful presentation of 9/10 and lovely flavors rating at 9/10, it made for a satisfying entrée. Then came dessert—what a highlight! The Aperol Spritz 2.0, featuring burnt orange, Prosecco flakes, pistachio, and lemon raspberry whipped sorbet was a visual and flavorful treat (10/10 for both). And the deconstructed strawberry mousse cheesecake? Presentation: 11/10, flavor: an impressive 12/10! It was definitely a crowd favorite; I think we could have eaten an entire bowl of it!
