A great stop for a good cheese fondue. The restaurant has decent food and kitchen is open during the day. Shop has a good selection of cheese and fresh milk products. The only hassle is on heavy traffic days, be careful if they close the entrance into the highway. That could cost a lot of hassle an not being able to cary on the journey entering into the highway. The caseificio is located just next to the gondola in Airolo just before the Gotthard entrance. The restaurant section has a hall type feel which is well suited to big groups. We opted to go for the fondue which was an excellent choice in addition to the rösti which are equally tasty.
