We came as a group of around 10 for a meetup in the evening. The interior was nicely adorned and had a warm feel. Our orders were taken quickly but were erroneous repeatedly. The member of staff serving us was brusque and not particularly welcoming which detracted from the meal. After a few rounds of back and forth we decided there was no point trying to change things any further. So we had a meal that we did not explicitly order. The pizza is prepared in a pizza oven which is visible in the restaurant which is nice. The pizzas were made quickly but came out with soft dough and a little sloppy. The price is reasonable and the pizza is good enough. Overall, expect below par service but decent pizzas.

Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen was man auf den Hotelbildern ja sieht. Das hatten wir auch erwartet. Aber auch alte Gebäude und Zimmer kann man sauber halten. Bad war alt aber soweit in Ordnung und sauber. Mit wenig Geld könnte man hier durch z.B. neue Armaturen schon viel verbessern. Was gar nicht geht ist, dass es keinen Sichtschutz nach draußen gibt - heißt im dunklen pinkeln/duschen sobald das Tageslicht nicht ausreicht. Der Teppich im Zimmer ist schlicht und ergreifend dreckig. Mir ist bewusst dass Teppich schwer sauber zu halten ist, aber das ist einfach dreckig. Und da hilft es halt auch nicht dass der Rest in Ordnung ist. Auch hier könnte mit relativ wenig Geld eine große Verbesserung herbeigeführt werden. Parkplatz am Haus ist gut. Preise wie immer in der Schweiz einfach für unsere Verhältnisse überzogen, auch im Restaurant. Die Pizzen waren lecker, der eine Kellner super und der andere solala. Massiv gestört haben im Innenraum die vielen Fliegen. Der Person an der Rezeption hätte es bestimmt nicht weh getan beim Check Out zu fragen ob alles OK war, aber vermutlich hat man hier vor Diskussionen Angst. Schade, die Gegend wäre toll

Posizione strategica di fronte alla stazione di Airolo. Dalla stazione parte lo shuttle gratuito per raggiungere la funivia degli impianti sciistici. Camere più grandi della media. Sala ristorante decisamente spaziosa. Cucina decisamente valida e con opzioni per tutti i gusti. Noi siamo vegetariani e ci hanno offerto piatti alternativi con molte più opzioni di tanti altri alberghi dove siamo stati. Colazione abbondante e con ottima scelta. In aggiunta l'hotel è dotato anche di una grande sala lettura con un angolo per i bambini dove si trovano libri e giochi a volontà. Personale super attento e gentile. I proprietari sono professionali ma al tempo stesso in una atmosfera decisamente familiare. Appena arrivati ci siamo accorti di aver dimenticato a casa parte dei vestiti per sciare di nostra figlia, i proprietari si sono subito attivati trovando la sera stessa già una soluzione per permetterci di sciare dal primo giorno. La Sig.ra Della Vecchia ogni sera a fine cena facendo trovare una sorpresa per la nostra bimba. Tutto questo in un periodo decisamente non facile per gli albergatori. Che dire di più! Assolutamente consigliatissimo.

We had to stay at this hotel after we had a problem with our car and got stuck in Airolo. It is located across the train station.||When w entered the hotel . We were tired and depressed after a long day stuck with a broken car. The lobby was dark and grim and as I was going to loos it we entered our room and immediately I was relieved. The room is old fashioned. 60s style but it was very clean. Really very clean. The bathroom too. So don't be fooled by the old fashioned anterior of the hotel. The rooms are big and despite the fact that it is across the train station. We didn't hear any trains and no traffic . We had a good night sleep and the next morning enjoyed a good breakfast ( included) the staff was friendly despite the language barrier . ||We also had dinner and we enjoyed the food a lot.||I am not a 60's fan but it sure...

I overnight here on the way hiking the Strada Alta and I was again pleasantly surprised about the Hotel and the Restaurant. ||The Hotel and their rooms are simple, like from the 60/70‘s but all very comfortable and clean. They price the rooms very very fair which makes it 4 star. Yes, there is no TV in the room and no turn down and no swimming pool but a real Airolo experience with super friendly staff at a very budgetary price. ||I also had dinner in the Restaurant. Monday evening and at 19.30h every seat taken by locals. Why, because you eat very well for a fair price. Ok, the mixed salad was just average and nothing to recommend but the Pizza Calzone Arleccino was super yummy. By observation I think the Restaurant is known for their yummy Pizzas anyhow. ||In summary a very nice stay. I will come again and my full...

Actually I was happy with everything, till CHECK OUT. By check out at 9 o'clock, there was no one in the reception. I though, i can leave the key on the reception desk and leave. Have done so. While driving, i remembered that i have a paid for tax and drinks. I was already 50km away from hotel in Autobahn. I parked, called them and informed them and then i asked for a method of payment. They wanted all my credit card information with security code or i had to drive all the way back! They couldn't send me a receipt or something and they didn't have paypal. I didn't want to give my information of the card on telephone, so i had to drive 50km back for a 20€ transaction! It made me really mad that i had to drive like 100km for a 20€...
