The hotel is in Giubiasco, which is a "suburb" of Bellinzona. Giubiasco is a nice, little village in its own right, with a lot of restaurants to choose from. From the hotel to downtown Bellinzona it is about a 35-minute walk. With your reservation at La Tureta, you also get free public transportation in Ticino, and it's about a 15-minute bus ride.||Unless you want to stay directly in Bellinzona, La Tureta is fantastic choice. The staff is super-friendly, and they answer all your questions about transportation and direct you to the right bus stop (very close to the hotel).||The room is a mixture between modern (bath room, door system) and classic (decor). The bed is very comfortable, and I have rarely slept so well and so long. I always like to have the window open, but it was quiet, and in the morning all I could hear were the birds. Everything is very clean and in excellent repair.||The breakfast buffet is not cheap, but it is worth it. There is a wide variety of items, all fresh and of high quality. The staff makes you speciality coffees, which were delicious (they happily make you more than one cup; the only drawback of not having an automatic coffee maker is that after the second cup I was too embarrassed to ask for third one ... I drink a lot of coffee ...). ||Anyway: super-clean, quiet, comfortable, great breakfast,...

There's no view of real castles as in nearby Bellinzona, so they created a mural of a castle along the wall above the bed. Soft hues of red and platinum created a mood for romance, or just relaxation. The rain shower and tiled walls were a nice touch to the large bathroom. The mini bar included complementary soda and water. Kitchenette with stove top, sink and a cabinet that during our stay, was empty, but I predict that will change. We didn't need anything, and if we had, the management made sure we knew that all we had to do was ask! High tech in the rooms offered a digital display for setting the room temperature, finding local information, weather, requesting maid service or electronically asking not to be disturbed! Several good restaurants in the surrounding 10 minute walk from the train. A lovely park with photo worthy sculptures is a stroll away from the hotel. Oh, and it is dog friendly! Like most hotels in beautiful...
