Albergo Ristorante Cardada — Restaurant in Circolo di Locarno

The food was great, when we finally got it. The service personell was unorganized. We had to wait for nearly 1 (!) hour to get our food (we ordered simple things, nothing fancy). The servers also felt unmotivated and not super friendly. We highly recommend the owners to add more personell! Instead of eating here, I recommend buying a picknick in Locarno and then eat at the panorama platform on top of Cimetta. That is what I should have done. The view on top is simply amazing...

Beautiful summit worth the cost to go up (use your halbtax to get 50% off). Make the trip up to Cimetta if you have time as the views from there are stunning. But Cardada is also wonderful and the many hikes and easy walks makes for a fun day/afternoon. It’s by far the worst restaurant in Switzerland. Do not visit it under any circumstances. The staff are unbelievably rude, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful.
